Hopping on the Self-Love Sunday train 🚂. I’m nearly at the heaviest I’ve ever been & at the pinnacle of my improvement season, I took an Inbody scan yesterday that told me I was 27% body fat (although the guy thought it was wrong due to fluid retention from all the flying the day before & I’ll be repeating it in a few days). ANYWAYS, It’s crazy that I’ve managed to change not only my body composition but my way of thinking around it as well. I’ve learned to feel empowered in my body regardless of its size or amount of body fat. 🤓😌 I choose to feel empowered by the things my body can do and the ability to change as I see fit. It was a journey, but it’s one well worth embarking on. 💕

Happy Sunday! Yesterday I took my workout outdoors and man am I sore today! I find it hard to get out of my normal workout routine but I am so glad I did.I got my cardio in for sure while enjoying the beautiful sunshine. Can’t wait to do more hikes this summer🤩

My body fat % may have increased a lil with exams but why should I be mad or sad I'm human,things like this happen. ▶Here are my four top leg exercises. They are not necessarily my favourites, ☝️ but they are my staples. 1. Barbell squats 2. Sumo deadlifts 3. Barbell glute hip thrusts 4. Lunges (any variation) These will hit every muscle in your lower body 🏋 and are critical to building a solid foundation for any other movement. On the first three, I focus on going HEAVY. That means that no matter what my rep range is, my last rep or two are a struggle. You can see my squat I only do 3 reps (for strength reasons) but my glute hip thrusts I do 10-12 reps (for hypertrophy/vanity reasons). I don't go heavy on lunges because my form crumbles fast and I've had knee pain in the past I want to continue to avoid. Throughout all of these movements, I focus on mind to muscle. Making sure glutes activate, core is engaged, and I control my speed and range of motion. Let me know if there's anything specific you want to know about these movements in the comments 🤗
