MY STORY:👧🏽I used to be the little Indian girl who felt she’d never be good enough. I had average grades in school (like, I had to work real hard to be average!), and next to my cousins & closest relatives who were becoming doctors, dentists, lawyers etc, I could never measure up academically and earn the same praise they received from my grandparents. - 🤓The one thing I seemed to excel in, was P.E. & anything Sport science related! It took me a gap year and switching degrees to realise what my brain cells were programmed to😅 but since realising and following my passion and doing everything I could to excel in it, it then became my mission to make a positive impact on people’s lives and show what THEY were capable of. It was only then I finally got the praise I was longing for when I was a mini me. 🙃 - ❤️Someone recently asked me what my career drive was... It’s a result of a multiple things, but the one thing it all stems back to is teenage me wanting to make my parents & grandparents proud of my accomplishments. I’ve not shared that with many people (not even my family!🙈) and it sounds SO cheesy😆 but I hope my story gives you hope & faith that no matter where you start from or how long it takes you to figure out your passion, you will ALWAYS be the star of your own show so long as you never give up on yourself. - 🌟Whether you receive recognition or not, remember YOU ARE GREAT and you don’t need a fan base to prove that! Raise your hand if you love a good smoothie bowl 🙋🏻‍♀️ They’re so filling and so refreshing during the hot summer months. My old housemate and I used to love going to our local smoothie bowl cafe and having one for Saturday and sometimes Sunday morning brunch 😅 But like a smoothie in a cup these babies can be loaded with calories, and thanks to their often extravagant toppings that pushes them way over the edge. There are plenty of benefits like they’re loaded with fruit meaning plenty of fibre, they often have added protein keeping you fuller for longer and they’re nice and easy on the digestive system. But if you’re eating intuitively and wondering why that extra weight won’t seem to budge try having a look at the calorie count of your next smoothie bowl brekkie and see if it’s pushing you over into a surplus each day. I’m not saying don’t have them, but like everything moderation is the key 🔑

💥TOXIN loss vs. WEIGHT loss💥 Weight is just that...WEIGHT. Your scale has no idea WHAT it is measuring, it is simply measuring the mass of whatever you are putting on it. If that is your body, your scale will calculate the mass of your body with it's current toxins, #water percentage, undigested food, built-up fecal matter etc., and when this number starts going up or down, your scale has ZERO ability to tell you what exactly you've lost or gained. It always brings one or more of its friends such as #inflammation, decreased energy, inability to control #cravings for sugar or sodas/coffee/alcohol, depression, #anxiety, #bloating, #skin issues, immune challenges, heart disease, diabetes, IBS, #constipation, #insomnia, #stress, and much more. Do you know the probable ROOT of all of these issues? GUT HEALTH! Your gut is responsible for a great deal of your immune function and your serotonin levels. It is also responsible for properly processing toxins through the body and out where they belong. If your gut is not properly eliminating these toxins, then your body will not be balanced and will begin to spiral out of control. As someone who pops over 30 pills a day I really appreciate this post from @the_discerning_you - - Marina's Story: Yes, these are my meds for the week. Nothing special. Just the fundamental things that keep me going. If I flare, or get infections etc. you can rest assured the pile just grows. - - So many people ask me if these meds are necessary. I’ve lost count of every person who’s recommended alternative therapies. Not because I don’t value the treatments themselves. It’s because people often believe that the CURE lies within whatever treatments they recommend. - - I don’t just take meds. I do hydrotherapy, psychotherapy, and mindfulness. I’ve been under an immense amount of pressure with work, which I’ve struggled to complete since I’ve been flaring badly. So I decided to not take my meds in the morning. They make me drowsy and I needed to get as much done as possible. - - Within two hours, my right foot started to swell badly and by the 5th-6th hour ... I felt like I was burning alive. At this point I just took my meds, and the symptoms slowly calmed down. It meant that I could actually focus on the work I needed to do. They didn’t solve my issues... but nothing will. And the fact that they help is enough for me. - - If you have recently experienced something similar. If you’re being judged for the amount of meds you take. If you’re doubting their efficacy... Relax. They’re there to help you!  And unless someone has experienced the exact same road as you, they have no place to judge your decision to use meds when you need them. We live in a culture where we feel the need to perform all the damn time. ”Look at the trip he made, that dress she has, she looks good 100% of the time, ....”. And you feel like you need to do this to feel valued, to be happy. Why do you do the things you do? Do you do them for yourself or for others? Why do you workout for example? To look good for yourself or for others? I workout because it makes me feel alive, I think it is very powerful to know what I can do with my body and I want to make progress. It’s good for my health and ofcourse a nice body is a nice side effect but it shouldn't be your main priority! There are not a lot of people who will actually read this caption, they just scroll double click and do this over and over again without thinking. When did we get so anti-social on social media? Supplements get a bad rap because people assume we’re saying, “Eat whatever you want, do whatever you want, and then take some magic pills to make you healthy and lose weight.”😳 NO!🙅🏼‍♀️ Food and exercise are SO vital, and I’ll never be one to offer you a “quick fix fad.” . Many of you are addicted to sugary foods, coffee, soda and processed carbs, and you think it’s just because you lack self-control. NO, friend! That’s yeast overgrowth and blood sugar imbalance screaming at you for relief!😐 And, soooo many of you have zero energy so you rely on stimulants to get you through the day, while even more of you go days or even WEEKS without a bowel movement. But you think that’s just how your body is wired, or how it feels when you get older, have kids, etc.😑 . NO! NO! NO! . The truth is that there are often things within our own bodies that are working against us.👎🏼 Yeast overgrowth can make our bodies crave things they shouldn’t, all while also making us so fatigued that we can’t muster up the strength to move, let alone exercise.😞 Cells resistant to insulin stop us from being able to make energy and lead to blood sugar spikes and crashes that create sugar and carb cravings in an effort to try to fix the problem quickly! . Some say that a weekend well spent brings a week of content. But sometimes I totally disagree. Like this past weekend for example! I spent my weekend doing a lot of relaxing and that meant a lot of reading 📚 --- I am a self admitted nerd who lives to learn. So this weekend I read to learn more about fitness. I L O V E working out and am constantly striving to level up my fitness. This book is basically a survey of all the latest fitness science. I wouldn't say this book is for the casual enthusiast by any means... Though not hard to understand and successfully avoiding too much industry jargon, it is really just a summary of research study after research study. Not the kind of book you want if you're looking for a particular recommendation. But I know I learned a lot and can't wait to apply it to some of my own recommendations I share on the Nevertheless blog (and in my own health journey of course!) . Now on to the next read ☺️

JUST BREATHE: You know that feeling when you start to spin out about something? Anxiety or anger get the best of you and before you know it you’re saying things you don’t mean or doing things you don’t mean to do? I used to experience that A LOT before I started meditating & doing breath work…especially in times of intense work stress when I would either take things out on my husband or turn to disordered eating behaviors to feel in control. For years I was desperately seeking tools that would help me stay grounded, clear-headed and switch gears from spazzing to chill in a moment or two. This is one of my favorite tried & true ways to make that happen. Find a peaceful spot like the gorgeous garden at @theassemblysf and:⁣ 1. Place the tip of your tongue against the ridge of tissue just behind your upper front teeth, and keep it there through the entire exercise.⁣ 2.Exhale completely through your mouth, making a whoosh sound.⁣ 3.Close your mouth and inhale quietly through your nose to a mental count of four.⁣ 4. Here are some of the most recent suggested evidence based switches: - 🔹Meat reduction, especially red meat, has been found to be the most effective way of lowering environmental impact (farming, production, processing, transportation). 🔻A recent study (see below) looking at known foods with environmental impact and their nutritional benefit to our diet indicated reduction in poultry or fish not to be nearly as effective due to other nutrients found within them (calcium, selenium, iron, omega 3 fatty acids) needing to be sourced from other places. These have their own individual environmental impact to near equal proportion! Surprising. - 🔹Reduction of soft drinks, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages. The main reason being that the nutritional benefit of these to our diet is relatively small but their production and transport is a large contribution to environmental impact. This makes sense as liquids are heavy. - The combined reduction of these relatively easy steps (researchers suggested that with further recommendations the general public would be less likely to maintain change) has been estimated to reduce environmental impact by 21-30%. - Thats a big deal! Hi, my name is Molly and I love my ass. My butt has received a lot of compliments over the years, from classmates to coworkers, hookups and boyfriends. It’s been called everything from half moon to big booty to cheese. Because of the shape of my butt. Because of my cellulite. The one person who never gave my butt a compliment was me. Receta Gluten Free 😍 - Pasta de arroz 🍝 con salsa de tomates 🍅 champiñones y espinaca 🥬 🔻Receta: - 1 taza champiñones cortados en 4 (los medianos) - 1 taza tomate cherry cortados en dos o cuatro (como prefieran) - 50 gramos de espinaca cortadita - 2 cucharadas salsa de tomate (tomate licuado) - 2 dientes de ajo picados chiquititos 🔪 - Aceite oliva al gusto (para saltear) - 1 cucharada de paprika 🌶 en polvo - Una pizca de chilli flakes (un poquito, pican bastante)🔥 - Sal y pimienta al gusto 🧂 〰️ Saltear todo menos la pasta en una sartén con aceite de oliva hasta que se cocinen un poco los champiñones.
