52 day progress. It looks like it is going alright. To everyone who asks, yes, eating chicken breast, rice and vegetables with no sauces 3 times every single day is boring. It is why anyone who knows me will see me go nuts with my cheat day on Saturday. ◾ But it is working. I am losing body fat. I analysed my diet recently and I am in the process of altering it with the aim of reducing my sugar intake even further. Back in the day, I used to not worry about it as much since I was pretty active and figured that I worked out enough to counteract the desserts . I always thought I ate “healthy”, but I never realized how much sugar I was actually consuming. That is until I had to give it up to heal my gut. When you know better, you do better. Getting sugar and processed foods out of my life has had such a positive impact on my health. Here is what I have noticed from making the change in diet about four years ago.⠀ ❤️My favorite one... The key to controlling cravings and mindless eating is all about two things. First, eating food you actually enjoy. There’s a big difference between being full and being satisfied, and if you don’t truly enjoy what you’re eating, you’ll keep craving more. I can’t say it enough, Intermittent fasting is for me! I forgot to weigh in yesterday but hopped on the scale this morning and down more pounds. Straying away from IF made me increase weight. Granted week two doing low carb/ more meals I lost a little but then I completely stalled with the weight I had gained back. I was livid to say the least because I had done so well in my journey and now with a new nutritionist I seemed to be going backwards. I made a decision for myself after reading even more information on IF and metabolism effects that with my situation I was make the best decision for me. With that being said I’m going to keep on rocking out with IF. Leafy greens, one of the most nutrient dense foods you can gift your body. You need to add some into your diet every day to give yourself natures best multivitamin. When cooking leafy greens it's best to use some healthy fat to quickly sauté them, here I've used grass fed butter. The fat allows your body to access the vitamins and minerals within the greens, and without it you won't get much nutritional value. Another great tip is to add a Squeeze of lemon to any greens you're eating, because this allows your body to absorb the iron from within the plant. If you don't add citrus your body won't be able to access the plant sourced iron, its notoriously hard to break down and absorb. So there you go, a couple of leafy green fun facts: When cooking them do so with a healthy fat source. Add citrus to them to absorb their iron content.

When you don't know what you want to make for dinner sometimes you stick with you know best and what you are craving at the time and Wallah...it's breakfast for dinner! I made two versions of French toast bake word with Organic wheat & flaxseed bread with my homemade granola and another with Vegan gluten-free bread with fresh diced apples. The wheat bread soaked up the egg better and had a lot more flavor with the grainy texture. I added a few drops of stevia and some date Sugar to the egg mix instead of table sugar and brown sugar. The date Sugar is less sweet than I thought it was but had a nice texture in the mix and provided just a hint of sweetness without going too overboard. I paired the French toast with a ham pineapple Honey baked and baked carrots for a complete brunch style meal. We all have full bellies and slept well. Sunny day Sunny lunch recipee😊 I made these butternut squash with cauliflower and ricotta cheese thick velouté soup today sooo Delicious and yummy Prep Cut 1 onion, half butternut squash and 1/5 of the cauliflower more or less 5 big florets Gently Stir fry everything in olive oil , when all is shiny lol lightly cooked ( like for example risotto Rice must be translucid and oily) thats whats make the soup velouté Your pour some broth to cover the veggies Broth you choose which you prefer according to your taste and diet Vegan keto paleo lowcarb guthealth etc It would salt and give taste to veggies Mine is chicken/beef After 15 min broth should evaporate and veggies are almost done add some water let boil 10 min Vegetables are perfectly cooked, blend the mixture to your taste had some water if to thick for you Serve with à big spoon of ricotta cheese or 2 lol . (1 stick) butter, melted 6 tbsp. unsweetened peanut butter 2 tsp. baking soda 2/3 c. coconut sugar (or 18 packets stevia) 2/3 c. Unsweetened cocoa powder 2 tsp. pure vanilla extract 1 tsp. kosher salt flaky sea salt (optional) --- Directions 1. Preheat oven to 350° and line a 8”-x-8” square pan with parchment paper. In a blender or food processor, combine all ingredients except flaky sea salt and blend until smooth. 2. Transfer batter to prepared baking pan and smooth top with a spatula. Top with flaky sea salt, if using. 3. Bake until brownies are soft but not at all wet to the touch, 20 to 25 minutes. This was some cheap meat from #waynescountrymarket I believe it was a chuck roast. I put marinade in a bag and added meat. Put it in Sous vide for 5+ hours at 136 degrees and finished it on the grill. This meal was one of my favs on the Sous vide!!! I bought the machine so I could make tasty meals from cheaper cuts of meat and tonight it turned out excellent!
