Is breakfast the most important meal of the day? 🤔 Depends on you really! . For me, I wake up pretty early and I wake up ravenous - my first meal of the day is my favourite and is typically the same each morning! 👌 . ▪️200g @alpro Go On yogurt ▪️50g @myproteinuk Active Woman vegan protein powder ▪️@myproteinuk Toffee Flavdrops ▪️25g @deliciouslyella granola ▪️100g blueberries or banana - whatever takes my fancy that morning! 😊 . Typically this is usually around 400kcals with 40g of protein 👌💪 . If you’re really not hungry in the morning, you don’t HAVE to eat breakfast. Save those cals for a bigger lunch and dinner! . The best ‘diet’ is one you enjoy and that you can consistently stick to - don’t force yourself to eat in a way you can’t see yourself still doing in the future. . When you eat however becomes more important around your training. Reading through some old journal entries really made me realize my worth. I used to be so depressed and so suicidal because of the way people used to talk about me and treat me because of my weight. I know so many people go through the same thing and it sucks. I remember laying in bed at night almost every day crying because I didn’t want to live anymore. To some people this might look like two different girls but I’m still the same girl in the first picture as I am in the second picture, just a little less naïve. Yet most still look at both pictures and judge them separately even though it’s the same girl. Our society is corrupt and it’s sad. I want to let every single person reading this now that you’re beautiful no matter the size, you should strive to be healthy and be a better you. It only takes a bit of prepping, 25 minutes tops, something you can do the night before: bake the sweet potato for 20 min, in the meantime make the dressing (mix mustards&olive oil), wash and cut the Romana salad (my favorite because of its crunchiness), mash half of avocado, cut 2 slices of buckwheat bread (or any of your whole favorite) and store all ingredients till the next day m. It is stupid early right now....but my work day is starting earlier than yesterday and is expected to be busier than yesterday....so getting my workout in now is even more important!! It’s that time of year again, New Year - New You! ⁣ ⁣ But really, what does that mean and why does it happen at the beginning of the year? ⁣ ⁣ I can’t answer that. All I know is, we all have our own experiences and perspectives in life. There is something refreshing with the “new” year though. Maybe it’s because we humans have constructed a meaning with time. We have created numbers and ideas around this concept of time. It’s all an illusion but I’m not here to get deep with you. I’m here to get real!⁣ ⁣ January 1 is just another day the sun rises and the sun sets. Really, if you think about it, the excitement we feel at the beginning of each new year, we could be feeling each NEW DAY. Right? Well, I believe so. Too many of us just don’t choose to 'cease the day’. Instead we choose to hit snooze, make excuses and tell ourselves the same story that is no long serving us. ⁣ ⁣ I will admit, this whole ‘new year, new you’ attitude is great for my business. I won’t deny that. This is THE PERFECT time to kick some bad ass goals, get your health and fitness in check. Except, make this year THE year you ACTUALLY get there. I don’t know about you, but I have had THAT many new years resolutions and I have attempted feeling good in my skin too many times to count on one hand. The thing is, I never created habits that were sustainable. Until I studied how to do it. Now I have a balanced lifestyle, I wake up feeling energetic and my energy is consistent throughout the whole day. I choose foods that GIVE me energy rather than foods that TAKE AWAY energy. ✨New Year, New Outlook✨ - With the #10yearchallenge floating all around the ‘gram, it got me thinking how much my mindset has changed in these past 10 years💥. - For as long as I remember (maybe even longer than 10 years) January goals for me included loose ‘x’ amount of weight, give up chocolate❌🍫, no booze for ‘x’ days❌🥂🍷🍹, start a new diet plan etc. This year was different. I knew I didn’t want to give up anything nor start another short-lived plan. I knew I wanted to include healthier habits to crowd out the not so healthy ones. I wanted to opt for better food choices because of how they make me feel rather then to lose those pesky few pounds🍇🍓🍆🥑🥕🥜🍷. I wanted to make sure I move often because I love how I feel when I do rather than to just tick another to do item of my list🏃🏽‍♀️🧘🏻‍♀️🏋🏽‍♀️. Each day I want to appreciate what my body can do rather than poke at all the negatives I can see. Having my little one watching my every action brought around these changes. I want him to grow up with a healthy attitude towards food and exercise and we all know those little eyes pick up on every thing we say and more importantly do👀. - Would love to know what all of you think your biggest change has been in the last 🔟 years. - 🍽On the plate is delicious cinnamon and cardamom spiced oatmeal pancakes with sunflower butter (our new addiction💯💯💯!) and berries🥞🍓🥞🍓

Mid-January and still A ok. Still eating vegetarian at home. And getting back to exercising regularly having injured my back in September. . Both resolutions I made not to suffer through January more to help create good habits to stick to. I was working too many hours, missing exercise to make more time to get work done and it really wasn’t good for me or that much fun. I needed to rebalance. . They say it takes 3 weeks to get into a new habit so only one week more and I’ll be doing it without thinking. . What new habit are you trying to create? . I’ve been surprised at how good I feel eating no meat. I’ll definitely be using less going forward. Always good to try new things. If you don’t try you’ll never know. WRONG!!! - This approach to losing body fat is completely UNSUSTAINABLE and will result in less than optimal results.  Remember, the hare NEVER wins the race! - Instead, keep it simple and take it slow. Eat in a slight caloric deficit, keep your protein high and strength train. The goal is to make, long lasting, SUSTAINABLE change, while making the process enjoyable at the same time.
