When I was 23 I decided I wanted to change my life, I didn't know exactly what that looked like but I was willing to try anything. I remember laying in bed at night and feeling my rib bones through my stomach that was covered with fat... I wanted to know what it felt like to feel my ribs without layers of fat between. I tried diet after dietAnd would lose 10-15 lbs but then I Medifast, which I did lose about 50 lbs on. It messed with my mind though, it made it hard for me to think I could actually eat REAL food and stay thin so that started me on a mindset that restriction was the only way to stay small. I did end up losing 100 lbs at that point but I was unhealthy and it was primarily due to overexercising and extreme food restriction with bouts of binge eating. Fast forward a few years, I got pregnant and gained 70 lbs duringMy pregnancy... after I had my daughter I was depressed and sad about my weight gain so I decided I would again try and lose weight but I tried a different approach. I worked out doing spin for 4-6 days a week and ate a plant based diet with meat, but sparingly... I added in HIIT classes a few months after that and for the next 6 months I exclusively did HIIT and spin classes while eating a clean diet. After that I started incorporating running and lifting into my routine which drastically Changed my body and I am the happiest I've ever been about where I'm going. I still eat foods I love, I still eat ice cream... I never thought that those two things could go together. I'm so confident that I'll never yoyo again with my weight because I've found something that works for me that isn't restrictive that many diets. My clients in both my Fitmas Challenge and Living Fit VIP Community are focusing in on highly effective and fat-blasting workouts that require high effort but not a ton of time. Remember- its not always about how much you can lift when it comes to burning those fat stores. Focusing in on HIIT workouts and keeping that heart rate up may seem easier in some ways- but it’s the most tangible way to torch fat and keep your body in a fat burning state long after the workout is done! *Poud Mama Alert* Damien and I, have officially finished the partner workout program we started last month! It wasn't always easy but he stuck with it and I'm so proud of him. We had some bumps along the way (hello tween attitude), we had some good laughs, I loved the 1:1 time with him and teaching him that we can't give up when we are tired or things get hard. He is very proud of himself and I am too. The video below shows some of his progress with physical strength with the program. He did this all while going to school, being in the school play, having homework and still balanced being a kid and playing video games. If he can make time...so can't you! What are you waiting for? Taking care of yourself doesn’t need to be complicated. Being intentional about your choices, even when you only have a few minutes here and there add up. It can be as simple as prepping a head of cauliflower, adding some olive oil, sea salt, freshly ground black pepper and half a teaspoon turmeric. Put into the oven to roast (around 15-minutes). All while you prep supper for the rest of your family. What do you do with it after it’s done roasting? Blend it up with 4 cups vegetable or bone broth and 2 tablespoons coconut oil. Add additional sea salt or pepper to taste. Depending on the size of your blender, you can blend in 2 batches. Heat and and enjoy! (Option to roast some potatoes to give the soup a little more “heartiness”. #healthyfood #healthymom #simplehealthyeating

With our home being up for sale I had to take my essential oils off the shelf in our living room to declutter. I moved them into my home office but some how they've made their way back out. I have them in drawers around the house now because it was to much effort walking back and forth to the office. I didn't realize how often I actually used these until they were out of reach!
