Our Winter Challenge is at the halfway point this week and we couldn’t be more proud of the effort all of our challengers are putting in and how accountable they are being with themselves and their workouts! Before the challenge started we asked all of our challengers “why they had chosen to do this Winter challenge with us” For some it was a simple way to keep themselves accountable especially during winter with both food and exercise. A good way for them to set a routine to keep them on track heading into the warmer months and maintain it from here on in as much as possible. Inspiration and motivation from seeing others “killing it” was across the board for most and we have to agree with you all here 🙊 For others it’s kickstarting their goal to lose a few kilos in a fun way! Whatever the reason, whatever the goal these ladies should be proud of themselves for committing to themselves and we can’t wait to see what they can achieve in this challenge but also from maintaining this routine they are setting in place ✨ #fitnessfix

I don't know whether to laugh or cry 😂. Extra week at @dawnbreakersltd before our coach goes on holiday. - Warm up was 8-aside volleyball with 3 balls and team penalties such as burpees and press ups for breaking Mandy's rules #chaos. - Closely followed by relay races in teams of 4: bloody hard work but so much fun: like being back at primary school 😁 - Been reflecting on my before and after photos. Happy to see some progress and definitely way stronger and fitter. No DB next week so I will do my own thing, then I'm away for 2 weeks so will miss the start of the next 6 week course 😭. I'll train and run when I'm away. HIIT (high intensity interval training) cardio can burn 🔥🔥 a similar amount of calories as steady stead cardio (SSC) in shorter periods of time. 📚 [1-3] . While HIIT is more time efficient than slower forms of cardio, it also causes greater fatigue. So the best form of cardio to use depends on the overall training program of the lifter/athlete. . When it comes to SAFETY ✅ , performing HIIT cardio on a stationary bike or an elliptical are safe low impact options. Sprints done on track are also safe, but are higher impact. . I would strongly advise AGAINST 🛑 doing HIIT on a treadmill, especially if it’s done at very high speeds.
