✨TRAINERS TRAINING TRAINERS ✨ . . It’s always good to have another set of eyes to see things from a different perspective. Today @harley.gains and I did a mock session (after I squatted on my own) that resulted in me performing exercises that I rarely (if ever) do on my own, and slightly tweaking some that I already do. And let me tell ya, my buns were 🔥🔥🔥 by the time we were done. Even more than usual. . . Here’s some of what we did today: ✔️Barbell squats (did these on my own- worked up to 190x5 but the vid is 175x5) ✔️Landmine squat press ✔️Banded hip abduction ✔️Banded donkey kick ✔️Weighted hip bridges . . 1st workout post-baby today! It felt great to get back to it! Ignore my crazy hair 🤪 I'm starting off slow, did 8 laps around the track alternating between walking & jogging. Bridges are a must to help your pelvic floor & lower abs which is super important after having a baby! I posted this in stories (If you haven't started doing kegels, start now mama!) I did a few light resistance band exercises including bicep curls, front & side shoulder raises, & bent over rows. Finished with some body weight squats. Just a few sets of 10 to start slow! Bennett 😴 the entire time! Throwback to my post partum fitness goals and progress. I gained 23 lbs during my pregnancy and lost the scale weight 10 days after my son was born. - It took an additional 4-5 months to lower my body fat percentage to a noticeably fit state. I achieved these results 100% at home with 3 sets of dumbbells, an exercise mat and my body. I’m already writing up fitness programming and a nutrition plan for March 2019. Once I get my OBGYN’s ok, I’m going to push myself again. - For right now, I’m focused on muscle maintenance, hip strengthening/flexibility moves and low-impact cardio.. as well as a balanced diet (where I eat really healthy, but give into cravings in moderation). - If you want to achieve serious results at home (I’m talking actual exercise and nutrition) DM me and (1) I’ll send you a document of information I need from you (2) we’ll arrange a phone call or meeting in my studio (3) I’ll devise your nutrition plan based on your fitness goals, food intolerances, etc and (4) write a 6 week program for you that I will renew once you’re done and we check your results. - You’ll have access to me as your trainer and we’ll touch base every few days or as often as you need me. Here’s a Glute superset I like implementing at the end of my leg days! Glute Bridges are also great for those who are still learning the barbell hip thrust, as here you are doing a similar movement just off the floor. This movement will strengthen your hip extension at the top therefore improving the form on the barbell hip thrusts. I’ve been used to machine and cable abductions, but band abductions shouldn’t be ignored! You’ll feel more constant tension as compared to it’s a machine version. Hello! These past two weeks I have done great with exercise, but my eating has been weird. Although I have everything planned, I am tired and under quite a bit of pressure. Those two factors are making me not want to eat or cook. I would rather have a small crunchy snack and sleep. But, with a 9 year old, that is not an option. Hoping next week that my stress will get better. I want to hit my hundreds, so I am refocusing my efforts and will be more diligent with my food. I know that much of this battle relies on what I consume. My shoulder hurts still. I have really adjusted my workouts. #morningworkoutdone 💪👌 Daran könnten wir uns beide gewöhnen. MissMaus ist erstaunlich ruhig und scheint es zu genießen als lebende Hantel von mir durch das menschenleere Gym herumgetragen zu werden. #squats, #hipbridges , #liegestütze uvm geht 1A mit ihr. Scheint ihr Spaß zu machen und mir erst!😃 . Wir sind hier im wunderschönen #allgäu mit meinen Eltern und können ein paar Tage richtig die Seele baumeln lassen. Leckeres Essen, viel frische #bergluft (Bilder kommen demnächst separat), entsprechen viel #schlaf und natürlich die Betreuung durch Oma 👵 und Opa 👴 sind für mich eine sehr willkommene Abwechslung. . Wusstet ihr übrigens, dass zu wenig Schlaf sich negativ auf Zellbildung, Wundheilung, Stoffwechsel und Verdauung auswirkt? Wer Sport macht, baucht den Schlaf, da dann wichtige Regenerationsprozesse ablaufen, die viel Energie verbrauchen. Gerade daher bin ich froh, dass MissMaus hier an der frischen Luft nur 2x in der Nacht aufwacht um kurz zu trinken. Die Landluft tut uns gut 😊 . Today my stomach felt ten times better. We took my son to lego land for his birthday and when I came back I found my extreme bands in the mail! A “Tabata” is a high intensity interval training workout. It’s 6 Exercises they are preformed with 20 seconds on and 10 seconds off. It was introduced in the 90s by Dr. Tabata who created it to work with Olympic Skiers and has sense taken off as a great way to get your heart rate up and to use both anaerobic and aerobic activity at one time!
