I do love me a mini pizza 🍕 but even more so when it’s made from the humble vegetable, cauliflower. I tweaked the cauliflower pizza crust recipe on my website (link in bio) and topped it with a homemade fermented tomato sauce, leftover garlicky lamb mince, roasted baby truss tomatoes, fresh basil and a few slices of avocado (not pictured). I also like my base EXTRA crispy 💁🏼‍♀️ so I quickly fried the bottom of the pizzas in some ghee in a frying pan before serving, trust me, it’s 467864% worth it for that crunch 🙌🏻👏🏻👌🏻. Trying to find a way to cool down today and water just isnt cutting it in this heat 😓 How good do these Fizz Stick Icypoles look!?! I’m more of an icecream girl but I can’t wait to try one. They’re currently setting in the freezer so I will definitely be devouring one of these every day for the next week thanks to this Melbourne heat! Recipe: Mix 1 fizz stick* sachet in water. Pop into an icy pole tray (don’t forget the sticks to make it easier to eat 😄) and freeze. *you can also use complete hydration and/or mind health Once completely frozen you can enjoy the refreshing goodness of B vitamins, amino acids and a focussed/calm energy boost from the fizz! And there’s NO artificial sugars, colours or flavours, unlike a LOT of other frozen treats that I know of 😳 If you would like a fizz stick or complete hydration to try out this recipe let me know and you can thank me later 😏😝

On a freezing cold night....meatloaf is the answer! This is my favorite and easy turkey/spinach meatloaf. Gluten and Dairy free! 1 package of ground turkey 1 cup of: chopped fresh spinach, gluten free breadcrumbs, shredded almond cheese. 1 egg, 1 teaspoon of salt and pepper. 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning and onion powder. 1 egg, slightly beaten. 7 cloves of minced garlic. Combine all ingredients. Super Stuffed Eggplant Ingredients: -1 eggplant -1 tomato -1 or 2 sweet peppers -1 tsp sea salt -A few mushrooms (sliced) -A couple garlic cloves -hemp oil Slice the egg plant in half & store the other half for future use. With a knife, carefully dig out the flesh of the inside of the eggplant, making the inside hollow. Put the white flesh of the eggplant on a plate and slice it up. Set the mushrooms aside for now. Chop up the garlic cloves, and set them aside with the mushrooms. Chop up the tomato, and sweet peppers. Set the flame on the stove to medium-low and use avocado oil or coconut oil on the pan. Place the sliced veggies (including the white flesh of the eggplant) on the pan. Don't add the mushrooms or garlic to the pan, these will not be cooked for this dish. Also, add the hollowed eggplant on the pan-this will soon be used as a "cup" to hold the other veggies, so make sure not to break the "cup" while you move it around on the hot pan to make sure all sides are lightly cooked. Move the other veggies around the pan as they lightly cook for only a few minutes. Then, cautiously take the eggplant and put it on a small plate. Add the cooked veggies from the pan into the eggplant, and add the raw mushrooms & chopped garlic as well. Add the sea salt and hemp oil. Throwback to when I did everything to hide my ginger hair, ate <1200 calories & exercised 2 + hours a day. Was I unhappy? Not consciously. I loved the grind and tunnel vision, chasing a goal I was all-consumed by. Was I healthy? No. I didn’t have my period for nearly 6 years. I was proud that I wasn’t menstruating because that meant I had low body fat. 9% in fact. success. I was looked up to by females as motivation and that makes 26yr old me sad. I know what effort & sacrifice it took for me to look like this: dangerous, extreme effort. Some women can achieve this body and be completely healthy, some can literally look at a weight and lose fat, they’re ‘genetically gifted’. But we don’t take that into account when we follow people on social media or put ourselves down because we don’t have abs or look like the girl in the magazine. I thought this was maintainable, everyone else I looked up to was doing it, so it must be a ‘forever’ thing, right? Wrong. Since then, I’ve tried really hard not to compare my body to other peoples because, their body is not MINE & this is the ONLY one I’m going to have for my entire life. Sometimes I have bad days & that’s totally ok but on the whole, I’m happy that I’m healthy & i sincerely hope more people start to have health as a focus because we only get one chance at this 🌱

As health and fitness bloggers, it’s our job to equip you with new ideas and tips, but what’s the best way of incorporating new tips into your routine? Here’s a great way to approach setting up new habits because we all know darn well it’s not that easy.⠀ .⠀ 1 - Pick one or two areas at a time: In order to get a new habit to truly stick, it’s easier to focus on that for a little bit before adding in a new habit.⠀ .⠀ 2 - Value progress over perfection: It’s all about baby steps in the right direction. Don’t compare yourself to someone who’s been meal prepping and eating clean for 5 years. Instead compare yourself to your habits last week. Are you eating less processed foods? Are you making more meals at home? Those are all wins!⠀ .⠀ 3 - Be kind & forgiving to yourself: You wouldn’t talk to a friend in a cruel or belittling way, so why do that to yourself? Life’s a cha-cha. You may take one step back to take three steps forward and that’s what matters.⠀ .⠀ Remember, if you see people with all these great habits, they didn’t add them overnight. Also not every tip/health habit etc will resonate with you. Maybe meditation isn’t your thing but you find a gratitude practice grounding. Maybe you hate the sauna but hot yoga is where it’s at for you. So without further ado, it’s BALANCE! And it’s a doozy! • • • Eating a balanced diet is quite possibly thee most important aspect of maintaining long term health. It’s certainly one of the most controversial topics (sooo many opinions!) and by far the most expansive of the 10 Components. It includes the balance of the acid, alkaline bases, macronutrients, micronutrients, flavours, and food groups. The topic of a balanced diet includes so much information that to do it justice would require multiple posts.
