So its another episode of #weighinwednesday but this time is different. So if you follow my stories probably seen I'm on vacation. So does that mean i'm taken vacation from my diet and workouts? No! because i'm going to use the cliche line and say its my lifestyle, but it truly is. We started in the Pocono Mountains, took my bike, went on a hike and also got in a #c25k training run in. We left the poconos, dropped bikes off, repacked and headed to the shore. While at home I weighed myself yesterday at 3:47pm and weighed 302.6 . . . That is 104.4 lbs total, 4.3lbs lost since last week. I haven't missed my supplementation, on my nutrition about 90% and 100% on water intake and activity. . If you want something, you have to work for it or on it. Things aren't always going to go the way you want but you can either get knocked down or take the hits and keep moving forward. This is not the vacation we originally planned but we are blessed to be on a vacation. Not everybody gets these opportunities so i'm making the most of it. I have taken a week off to recover and tonight it’s time to get back to work 💪🏻 . I have completely revamped my training program and macros, I’ve pulled out all the stops and can’t wait to get back into it . Always remember to use weights and fitness and recover, while I’ll be doing chest tri’s and a bit of shoulders I will be continuing to use a weight belt for added lumbar support as well as throwing in a couple unweighted lower back exercises to build the strength back slowly and pay closer attention to form when back day hits tomorrow . Completely new cardio regime, and new macros and starting off leaner than I was a couple months ago I think I might finally get abs for Christmas 😂 . I could start so many stories with... “When I ate keto...” 🤣 Most of them are not really that great to be honest. . One hallmark of what I was doing back in the day was post workout fasting. There MAY be purposes for such extreme niche concepts, but as a rule, those kinds of strategies are not a good idea. (@jschookpt I know, I know) . Replenishing glycogen stores with a high glycemic carb paired with a high quality protein is an excellent way to speed recovery. Especially after lifting, but also with riding, muscle soreness is decreased (by A LOT) with proper post working fueling. . After every lift (I won’t even lift if I don’t have my post workout, that’s how critical it is) and hard rides I use Phormula 1 whey isolate and Ignition (said high glycemic carbohydrate). One of the hardest things for me is to change my workout days. So, this morning I woke up at 5am to do some cardio and do a quick shoulder session. I wore a sweatshirt because I like to wear sweatshirts while doing cardio. So, when I was lifting I was getting really freaking hot! So I took my sweatshirt off on top of being super pale 😅😂 my mind was like “nah girl you aren’t lean enough to walk around like that. People probably think you look terrible” “people probably think you think you look super good but you don’t” These are the thoughts running through my head, but then I told that voice to shut the F up. I look fine and I’m freaking hot, I didn’t bring another shirt and there’s no point in torturing myself because of what other people may think. Tackling that negative voice in my head daily, but today I won and it didn’t. 🤷🏼‍♀️

#throwbackthursday . . I think it’s safe to say ya girl has gained some weight in all the right places 😏 . . Left : a year ago, in a low carb calorie deficit diet, working out 6 days a week, lifting weight that was comfortable. Sitting at 110-115lbs . Right : now, in a higher carb calorie surplus diet, still working out 6 days a week, lifting weight that challenges me! Sitting at 125-128lbs.....and my waist is smaller then it was a year so 🤔 WHAT?! This should show that the weight on the scale doesn’t determine “how skinny you are” what should determine how you feel about yourself and you confidence in yourself should be you reaching those goals you’ve set for yourself and you looking at yourself and loving yourself! The snatch is just moving the barbell from the ground to overhead - it's that easy! 🤣 . Well, it's not that simple. It's an incredibly difficult movement to learn and takes practice, coordination, strength and technique. It falls into the fourth phase of NASM's OPT Model - maximal strength training.
