KB Racked Squat - a great alternative to the barbell front squat for all those with restricted shoulder or wrist mobility. . Let’s talk height & fitness. Does height affect your ability to workout? . Absolutely. First things first… I am NOT very tall (I’m very average… just shy of 5’6). However, my workout bestie (@workoutwifeys) is slightly vertically challenged (around 5’1). . Secondly… I should also note I have NEVER used our height difference as an excuse for performance but as I was looking at our workout this morning, I thought it would be a fun topic to chat about on Insta. . Who has the upperhand here? Tall or short? . Depends how you look at it. . When it comes to most movements (squats, deadlifts, burpees, presses, etc)... the shorter person has the advantage. Why? Because the taller you are, the more movement (range of motion) you have to perform to carry out each rep. All that to say, the shorter person can move through reps faster. . A better explanation is this… Let’s say @work_hard_eat_harder (Alex) travels 18 inches to get to the bottom of her squat. That’s 36 inches of movement per rep, right? Since I’m 6 inches taller, I have to move 24 inches to get to the bottom, or 48 inches total. That’s a difference of 12 inches! Over the course of 10 reps… TEN FEET OF DIFFERENCE. Lol . Is that a disadvantage? NO!! I don’t think so actually! . I LOVE working out with Alex because she forces me to work harder to move at her pace (which for squats and burpees is INSANE). You guys should have seen me trying to squat rep for rep with her this morning! . I feel like I’m getting a huge motivational push to work my a$$ off. And call me crazy, but I prefer it. . Of course, rolls are reversed sometimes too… Statistically, taller people have the advantage on moves like wall balls, running, swimming, and box jumps! . There is NO excuse to performance. Let’s just make that clear. But it is a fun topic to talk about! So talk, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Are you short, tall or average? What about your workout partner?

Конечно, нет. ⠀ Почему нет никакой градации, почему есть только две крайности? 🤦🏼‍♀️ Именно от этого подхода у людей беда с лишним весом ❗️ ⠀ Мы предпочитаем посидеть «на диете» (гречневой, кефирной, фруктовой) несколько дней вместо того, чтобы полностью переосмыслить своё питание и начать жить счастливой полноценной жизнью. ⠀ От того, что ты понимаешь, что тортики 🍰 есть каждый день не нужно, ты не становишься несчастным, гарантирую! Зато становишься, если вся твоя жизнь это сплошное йо-йо: посидела на диете (можно даже на длительной типа Дюкана, кето, палео), что-то там скинула, о, можно опять возвращаться к старым привычкам. Эти привычки тебя и привели к лишнему весу! И приведут туда опять. ⠀ Подход к решению этой проблемы должен быть осознанный и комплексный. Надо менять себя, надо менять своё мышление, надо находить тот способ, который поможет сделать жизнь лучше и легче. ⠀ Так что я решила написать немного про питание :) начать с азов. 5 squats EMOTM for 10 minutes with 2x16Kg KB. . . I wanted to shoot a video so this was actually round 13. 😌 You can clearly see that I fumble to set up for the clean and loose count on the reps. 😂😂 I've forgotten the clean 🤦🏾🙄 . . This is the heaviest I have squatted since the foot injury. I can feel myself getting stronger every week.
