You’ll probably see a lot of KB swings on this page, and that’s because if they’re not in your training, they should be. I left the sound on to emphasize the importance of controlled breathing. 🌬 • The bands help to pull you down more violently into a hinge, which in turn should make your subsequent hip thrust more violent. This is a ballistic movement and should be done with force and speed. • I always cue clients to be violent with their hips when doing these. The most common flaw I see is not enough hip action; which in turn forces recruitment of your shoulders. Your hips should be doing all of the work. I will drill this into everyone’s head until everyone and their mothers are doing Kettlebell Swings. • Some reasons why you should do these: • Builds posterior chain strength particularly in glutes and hamstrings. • One of the best fat burning exercises you can do. 🔥 • Great functional strength and proprioceptive workout. • Look like a badass doing them (in my opinion).

"Morrison"... 50 - 40 - 30 - 20 - 10 Wall Balls Box Jumps (24') KB Swings (24kg) . When it's sucking pretty bad, but you're hanging on as you're nearly done 😤 . A lot harder than it's looks this WOD, it's mostly movements I don't enjoy as I'm far from slick at them. No barbell work or strength work, just heart and lungs jacking. Grab a dumbbell and hold in the middle. . Assume a squat position and descend just as you would a squat. As you descend, slightly drop the DB in between your legs. . Then, drive through your legs on the ascent to move the DB. . These are not front shoulder raises! . The momentum from the drive through your legs should be enough to move the DB parallel to the floor. . Be sure to keep your core strong and shoulders back as to not let the weight pull you forward. . Control the weight on the way back down. . Place band around mid shins and perform 10 Swings.
