One of the principles I always hammer home is that people need to focus on the big pieces of the health puzzle. πŸ•› Our "Pillars of Health". These include Sleep, Calories, Food Quality, Water, Movement, and Sleep. πŸ•§ There are other principles and protocols to follow as well that can be beneficial but sometimes get overblown in their importance. *cough*supplements*cough*. One of these principles is Meal Timing. πŸ• Meal timing can absolutely be helpful but it isn't going to make or break most peoples results. Most people in the general population dont need to fuck with it. πŸ•œ We always have to weight Accuracy Vs. Anxiety with every protocol. If a protocol has a specific meal timing protocol it may make our diet more "Accurate" but can also cause a ton of anxiety when trying to execute. πŸ•‘ Example, if you are so stressed about meal timing and miss a meal and feel like you "messed up" Β and end up balls deep in a bag of doritos, then it wasn't worth it. πŸ• If you are so concerned with timing out meals that you forget to actually enjoy food and your day to day life, that's an issue. πŸ•’ Meal timing will account for maybe 10% of your results. πŸ•ž If you are looking to become a pro bodybuilder or games athlete then this is huge and you absolutely need to pay attention to it. πŸ•“ If you need to lose 20lbs? What's all that added stress going to do? Help you lose 22lbs instead? I can tell you from client experience the added stress is usually not worth 2lbs. πŸ•Ÿ Here are some low stress considerations for meal timing that won't stress you out but can help. πŸ•” 1: Workout on an empty stomach, specifically for performance athletes. This means eat a full meal 2-3 hours before training. Shakes can be 90+ minutes beforehand. Consider limiting fats in that meal. πŸ•  2: If you have a high volume of food to eat then eating smaller meals more frequently can help simply because it's easier to stomach the food. πŸ•• That's about it. We could get into a whole rabbit whole of nutrient timing and meal timing but it's way more complicated than most people need to pay attention to. πŸ•‘ As always focus on the pillars of health, consistency and patience.

Deeper State Keto - Day 58 . Ellie did not want to sit with me for this photo! πŸ˜‚ . Day 15 of carnivore and I’m up another pound, very bloated again today - not sure if Sunday’s avocado is still having an effect or if it’s just the insane amount of sodium I had yesterday. I felt the need to eat ALOT of bacon and didn’t think to reduce the amount of salt I add to my water and other food so ended up at around 5,000mg 😱 Oops! πŸ˜‚ . Felt less fuzzy today though which is great, the avocado hangover is subsiding yaay! πŸ˜‚ . Eating my 2020 calories was easy again today - probably because I didn’t have any red meat which is super filling. I had fatty coffees (with ghee), bacon & eggs for my first meal, snacked on pork rinds, and had grilled goats cheese on carnivore bread for my second meal.
