I love drinking milk and have always had one glass of milk daily. But now that it’s almost out due to my #ketogenic diet. Nut Milks have taken a place of importance. Almond Milk, Walnut Milk, Coconut Milk etc. since sugar is out for good from my daily diet. I am able to taste the real sweetness of all foods much more so of these nut milks. * So recipes which call for using coconut milk are my current favourite. 😁 * And this was dinner last night. A Khao Suey with lots of veggies and some shredded chicken and eggs - to hit my protein goals * Minus the noodles - No carbs of course. It’s so easy for me now to just weed out the carbs from my plate. Whenever you guys ask me, my answer is the same. Trust me I don’t miss the carbs at all. * The first month or May be in some cases the first 3 months will be tough a little. For me, once the Keto Flu ( it’s real and it’s not nice people) Was over, the cravings for carbs and sweets died. It’s non existent now. * I wish I could say that I am trying very hard living my Keto way of life. But that is not true. I am not trying hard, on the contrary this is the easiest thing I have done in my life to loose weight. My body and my mind both love this way of eating. Of course it needs will power to some extent, specially in the beginning. But it is not hard. Yes it is highly restrictive and you can’t do it wrong. You need to plan, and you need to research before starting. That’s all it asks. If done right, this I think is the easiest diet on the planet right now. * And there is so much good food to be had 😁 it is not a diet 🤣 * So my Khao Suey had plenty of these: *Coconut milk *Lemon grass *Garlic *Small Onion *Ginger Stalks *Turmeric *Shredded chicken (par boiled) *Mushrooms *Broccoli *Beans *Spinach ( original recipes don’t call for it) *Cauliflower *Peanuts *Fried Onion * Zucchini *Lemon Juice *Chilli Oil *Butter Butter Butter * I did away with below ingredients Noodles Flour for thickening (replaced with a bit of almond flour) * Along with a glass of thick creamy Cocoa Coconut Milk Shake 😋 * Meals aren’t that hard on it, just a little bit Of thought is required #theavgmomketo #workingmomlife

My weigh in is on the 9th of each month! And October 9th is crepping up fast! I am hoping to lose at least a few pounds but as you guys can see I DON'T drop massive weight at a time. And that's okay with me. Its not a race guys it's a marathon! BUT Since July I have dropped two pant sizes, I went from a 7 to a 5! I went from 150lbs to 130lbs! I feel healthier, my skin has cleared up, and I have way more energy! Oh and I have only cheated twice! I am very dedicated to my diet and have made it apart of my lifestyle! Hey guys, I’ve been wanting to post. But have been having a hard time coming up with content. So I’ve decided to give you a life update 💕 • • I stopped the 5&1 for the time being, I was struggling to follow this plan due to having 3 consistent cheat MONTHS. I decided to go back to Keto for a while to get me in the right mindset to get back onto the 5&1. I know it works for me! 💕 • • I gained back all but 7 lbs that I initially lost with Optavia. But being consistent with Keto for the past three days, I am already down 4 lbs of my regain. I saw a Snapchat one of my coworkers filmed of me, and what I saw disgusted me. I think it was the push I needed to get me back on the right track. I immediately stopped craving the junk food and said something has got to change or I’m going to get back up to my heaviest. 🤦🏻‍♀️ • • I know I sound indecisive. But I know what works for me, and I also know what doesn’t. I’m not sorry if it bothers you that I change my meal plans quite a bit. I have a problem with food, and I’m trying to fix that 😘

HEEYYYYY we got rain this morning! To celebrate I warmed up some of @traderjoes almond cashew macadamia milk (so good 🤤) and stuck two bags of chai tea in it! I also made a crustless quiche with bacon and brie for a brunch potluck (the best idea, right?) that I’m going to later. It made the house feel so cozy which was everything I needed. It's time for some Wings!! 😍🍗🍗🍗 They were so easy to make! These are my 'Mozzarella barbeque baked chicken wings' 😁🙌 They are spicy, sticky, sweet and downright delicious! So, so satisfying ❤ Perfect companion for a night of netflix binge 😂😋 Recipe- Make a brine using 3 tbsp salt and 3 cups of water. Take about 500 gm chicken wings (you can get them at @scootsyit ) and marinate them in the brine for about an hour. Now pat the wings dry with a paper towel until all moisture is gone. Toss the wings in some pepper and chilli powder/chilli flakes until evenly coated. Now bake in an oven for 20-25 mins at 180 celsius until you see the skin crisping up. While the wings are cooking, prep the sauce by adding a tbsp of melted butter, 2 tbsp of keto barbeque sauce (recipe posted earlier) and about 50gms of shredded mozzarella to a container with a lid. Add in the wings when piping hot and close the lid and toss around until all the wings are covered in sauce and the mozzarella has melted. Enjoy!! 😃😍

20 week anatomy scans scheduled for next week. Mind blowing. How is that already here? She’s growing and moving so much. My weight is still 10 lbs under from where I started! I thought I was over (I get on the scale backwards), until the midwife informed me that I haven’t even surpassed my pre-pregnancy weight. I was kind of shocked. I’ve felt so self conscious. I know I’m growing a human but with this (pre-keto) having been my highest recorded weight EVER - even higher than when I went in to give birth to my two oldest...it’s hard not to get down on myself. I’ve placed way too much value in that freaking scale. Too much. I’m actually eating super healthy. I’m not keto at the moment but I’m low carb. I have eaten my weight in apples, avocado, and oatmeal this past week tho 🙈. I try to avoid most sugars (outside of fruit). And I can only consume water because drinking anything else makes me stupidly nauseous. My computer broke which is why I haven’t posted any food pictures - but it’s on the mend! So I’m still here and hopefully will be able to jump back into the community sooner than later. #ketofam #ketomom #lowcarbpregnancy
