Fact- I have put on about 10 pounds since December. Fact- I still love myself. It’s real fucking easy to get caught up in the “look” of fitness when you surround yourself with it. here’s a KILLER leg day for you 🍑🔥 @cmjones.fit & i only did 4 exercises but MAN, we built up some volume bc i’m still sore 🙃 also if you want to watch ya girl ~gracefully~ fail a new PR attempt, swipe to the last vid 😂 i wanted to put this in because ya’ll need to know it is OKAY to push yourself to failure & you should not be scared of doing so. as long as you are doing it safely & have a spotter, there is nothing wrong with not hitting a lift. AND watching this vid made me realize that i didn’t properly engage my quads & glutes to power out of the hole, so we’re learning 😤 probs not the best idea to try to hit a squat max after an intense deadlift training the day before... c’mon Case 😭😭😭 OKAY read below for the workout ⬇️⬇️ • —back squats (7-9sets-175 pounds shown): when i’m working up to a heavy single, i’ll start with 1 warm-up set with the bar just to get the feel down & make sure i develop that mind-muscle connection. then for every set after, i’ll add weight in increments of 15-20 pounds and take off 2 reps each set. (ex: 75 pounds for 10 reps, 95 for 8, 110 for 6, etc.). when i get up to 80-85% of my max i’ll just do heavy singles & add only 10 pounds each time 👌🏼 works pretty well, you just have to make sure you aren’t fatiguing yourself before you work up to heavy weights bc your body & your CNS will already be shot & you likely won’t be able to complete the lift. it takes some time to play around w/ it but PLEASE make sure you have a spotter whenever you’re testing maxes 💪🏽 —glute driver machine (7ishx12, idk we lost count): so we got this fancy new machine that stimulates a hip thrust & i honestly love it 😇 i’m more sore than usual & felt like i was better able to focus on activating the right muscles & not worrying about hoisting up the bar on my hips & keeping it level. foot placement is a little bit harder & the pad left bruises on my hips but no pain, no gain 😤💪🏽 —bulgarian split squats (3x10 each leg): always a classic —overhead walking lunges (2 sets back & forth): would not recommend doing these after a shoulder day but for a finisher, they are frickin KILLER for stability & leg work 🔥🔥🔥

On the 1st move, since you’re on one arm, you’re activating and working your abs like crazy and on the 2nd move, since you’re raising your knees off the bench, your glutues are also active. I love incorporating these little changes in my form so that a lot more muscles are involved and let me burn lots of calories.
