It’s been a rough couple of days. A very close friend of mine suffered a devastating loss, and I’m still trying to wrap my head around it. My heart hurts for her and her family and the circumstances. I’ve had trouble sleeping because my thoughts are all over the place. This mornings workout was not about building muscle or “being fit” it was purely for therapy. #newyearthoughts Veränderung kommt nicht über Nacht. Veränderung ist ein stetiger Prozess. Gute Dinge passieren nicht in dem man da sitzt und abwartet. Ich hab viel zu lange gewartet und gehofft, dass alles besser wird und mein Leben sich ändert. Aber erst als ich anfing Dinge zu tun, die ich mich nie getraut hatte, hat sich wirklich alles verändert. Ich habe keine Neujahrsvorsätze. Ich brauche keine 9 anstelle einer 8 um meine Ziele zu verfolgen. Ich bin noch lange nicht angekommen, aber ich bin heute bereits näher dran als gestern. -> zum Video: 2 Kilo Steigerung pro Hantel heute.. daher eine definitiv ausbaufähige Ausführung. Today. Well technically yesterday was chest day for me. I started back in the gym planning a couple muscle groups at a time each day but I went back to my roots of doing one main muscle group with a smaller muscle group to finish. Just because I like to train that way. Instead of trying to hurry to focus on two muscle groups and not get the benefits from it; I like to train one and get a good workout focusing on that particular muscle. This is what works for me. Everyone isn’t the same there’s nothing wrong with doing two muscle groups in one workout. Or even three muscle groups. You do what works best for you. . So today I did a thing and pushed myself to up my weight on the dumbbell chest press. I reached up to 40 lbs for 5 reps and that’s with no assistance. Pretty proud of myself. Stronger than I think I am. That’s just so darn stinking fabulous I can’t wait to do it again!! 😁😁😁 my goal is to get back to 60lb presses. If I can lift heavier than that I will. There’s no stopping me!! Get on my level!! Lol 😂 . . Tomorrow is back day!! Stay tune!! Oh and I did sneak in a little video. I’m not a great video selfie taker but I’ll work on it!! Lol. Just checking to see if the muscle is still there after being snowed in and lazy AF all weekend 💪🏼 JK i was really just seeing if i could conjure up a flex after some serious shoveling + an at home KB workout 😅. - - If you didn’t see my story, here’s the workout for ya: •10 burpees (decrease by 1 rep each round). •10 half Turkish get ups each. •10 swing snatch each. •10 squat jumps. •10 plank drags each. •10 Push press. •10 Broad jump to back pedal. •10 pullover to sit up. •10 glute bridge W/ chest fly. •100 jump rope. - - ‼️It’s an ADD ON workout‼️ meaning round 1 you do the first 2 exercises. Round 2 you do the first 3. Round for you do the first 4. And so on. - - *Kettlebells or dumbbells can be used! *To make it bodyweight, exercises 2,5,&8 can be done with no weight and exercises 3,6,9 can be changed to various push up variations. - - Happy #snowday workout for those snowed in today!!!
