LETS TALK MEAL PREP 🧞‍♂️ one of the things I struggle with most is portion size, I can eat a whole pot of pasta even if I’m full, I just. keep. going. That’s why I’m making it a priority to meal prep food I KNOW I will enjoy and I KNOW will nourish my body. (And I KNOW is an adequate amount) Especially for those long work days. Pictured is kale/spinach salad w/ lemon juice & avo, roast pumpkin, steamed brussel sprouts and crispy tempeh chickpea pasta w/ hummus, zucchini, peas & other greens (which I plan on making more of tonight) AND finally for snacks are some yummy date balls that I got on sale at woolies (swipe across for details) Let’s just say I hope this meal prep motivation sticks, lol 💗✨

Once you are aware of what you body needs to fuel it well...you become more mindful of what nutrients (macro & micro) it requires to run at full capacity. More times than not, when I am let loose in the kitchen, I don’t follow recipes, I just use what I have in the fridge/cupboards. So when asked for recipes, it can be a bit tricky as I often don’t measure either😆. We will call this Frittata with Sweet Potato Wedges. Lots of Veges chopped up, pre-cooked beef/chicken/, bound with lots of eggs and a splash of milk combined, topped with grated cheese...put into 180C oven for half an hour with the sweet potato (sprayed with olive oil)...have a bath, go for a walk or swim while dinner cooks. Sausage & Bok Choy . . 4 sausage links of your choice 1 large bok choy 4 tbsp organic shitake stir-fry sauce 4 garlic cloves Duck fat for sautéing . Add duck fat to frying pan & heat, add sausage & a cup of water. Cook on medium with lid on. Add more water as needed to prevent sausage from burning. Cook for 30-35 min or until cooked all the way through & set aside. . Heat duck fat in wok & add minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds. Add bok choy stems & stir-fry sauce. Cook for 3 mins then add bok choy leaves, cook for 2 mins & add lid for last minute to steam. Don’t overcook, stems should be slightly crunchy.

DAY 12: #lunch Tried the pearl barley salad, added some chilli 🌶️ and switched out the goats cheese for feta though because..... Well, goats cheese 🤢🤢🤢 It was quite nice, but I can imagine would have been really bland without the chilli. It also did not fill me up like the other meals do so I was starving by 4pm today. I've got this once more for lunch this week, and I'm not dreading it so overall I'd say it was a success. 😊 Dinner wasn't really photo worthy, but I whipped up a red lentil chilli and served with courgetti and cheddar. Was super tasty but hasn't kept me satiated. I'm just having one of those "empty" feeling kind of days. Not really hungry but not really satisfied and content either ....know what I mean?? Brązowy ryż z warzywami orientalnymi z patelni. ------ Warzywa orientalne na patelnię z Prostych Historii mają świetny skład, a dołączona do nich saszetka z przyprawami również nie ma w sobie zbędnej chemii. Takie proste i dobre rozwiązania lubię. Składniki (na 3-4 średniej wielkości porcje): - 1 opakowanie mrożonych warzyw orientalnych na patelnię "Proste historie" i saszetka z przyprawami w środku - pół szklanki brązowego ryżu (odmierzone przed gotowaniem) - 3 łyżki śmietany 18% i pół szklanki mleka 1,5% bez laktozy (można pominąć lub dodać mniej jeśli lubicie ostre potrawy) Przygotowanie: 1. Mrożone warzywa wsypać na patelnię z niewielką ilością oleju, podsmażać 10min i pod koniec smażenia doprawić przyprawą z dołączonej saszetki. 2. W międzyczasie ugotować brązowy ryż (mój gotował się +/- 15min, ale sprawdźcie czas na opakowaniu). 3. Jeśli warzywa są dla Was za ostre dodać śmietanę i mleko i podgotować do zredukowania na gęstszy sos. Jeśli lubicie ostre - nie musicie zagęszczać. 4. Na talerze rozłożyć porcje ryżu i zakryć warzywami. Smacznego!

Low Calorie Banana Cream Pie Milkshake 🍌👅 #repost @themealprepmanual (@get_repost) ・・・ Banana Cream Pie Milkshake. Here is a high protein, lower calorie version of a milkshake for one of those days you get a craving. You could use this as a post workout shake or a prebedtime treat. It has far more protein and probably half the calories of a standard milkshake of similar size would usually have 😎 . . To make this milkshake I used plain non-fat Greek yogurt that I threw in the freezer, not the sugary frozen yogurt you’d get in the freezer aisles. If you wanted this to taste even better you could do the full fat version. I was a little impatient while making this and didn’t let the yogurt Th freeze all of the way through. I added in a handful of ice cubes to make it thicker. Add any ice you want to achieve your desired texture. The riper your banana is the better this is going to taste. A frozen banana may even be nice to use to make a creamier texture 🙌🙌 . . I used a scoop of vanilla protein powder both to add sweetness and a bigger dose of protein. The stevia will also help with this but if your banana is ripe enough you don’t need the stevia. The purpose of The Honey Nut Cheerios is to provide a small taste of what the crust of a banana cream pie would look like. A dollop of whipped cream on top sprinkled with crushed Cheerios would add to the aesthetic if you felt so inclined. Desayuno 🍵 El desayuno es una de las comidas mas ricas. Hice un Matcha Latte y unos pancakes veganos de avena y banana. Pancakes Veganos 🥞 - 1/2 taza de harina de avena (o podes substituir por harina sin gluten a tu elección) - 1 Cucharada de harina de coco - 1/2 Taza de leche de almendras - 1 cucharita de polvo de hornear - 1 cuchara de azúcar de coco o endulzante a elección - 1 flax egg ( 1 cucharada de linaza molida + 2 de agua, mezclar y dejar reposar 2-3 minutos) •Preparar el flax egg, mezclar todos los ingredientes (licuadora si pueden). Puede que necesitas mas/menos liquido segun la harina. • Cocinar en una sartén en fuego medio por 2-3 y dar vuelta cocinar 2 minutos. Servir!

Lunch👉🏼 roasted brussel sprouts + roasted sweet p fries 🍠🍟 [both tossed in 1-2 tbsp of olive oil, S&P and roasted at 425F for 25 mins, flip and shuffle halfway] + venison burger 🍔 accompanied by Colby jack cheese 🧀 tomato 🍅 & onion with some @tessemaes avocado ranch 🥑 . . A burger is a perfect #healthylunch or #healthydinner idea! 💡 There is a great balance of protein, carbohydrates, fats, and veggies.✌🏼 Making sure when we have carbohydrates with protein is also key in the role of maintainng our blood sugar 🔑 did you know that? Last week I made this dinner and right before I was going to cut into my steak my husband goes “WAIT you need to take a picture” 🤣. I couldn’t believe it, my social medialess husband was reminding me to take a photo for @welcoming.glutenfree . Of course it was around 9pm at night, so the lighting was terrible which I explained to him but I took a photo and decided to share. I cooked up a flank steak on my cast iron pan. I normally don’t season my steak, I just add a little salt and pepper because Sadie really likes steak too and so we keep it simple. Baked some potatoes, sauteed onions in a little olive oil and sauteed @wholefoods rainbow kale mix for some greens. Rote Möhren Suppe mit Äpfeln 🥕🍎 Möhren und Äpfel erst mit Öl im Topf weich dünsten. Anschließend Wasser, Misobrühe (Pulver) und Gewürze (Lorbeerblätter, Rosmarin Thymian) dazu geben und köcheln lassen bis alles schön weich ist. Die Lorbeerblätter entfernen, alles nach Belieben pürieren und weitere Gewürze (Salz, Kurkuma, Muskat, o.ä.) unterrühren. Wer es gerne etwas säuerlicher mag, kann noch Zitronensaft dazu geben. Chicken Pancit and Chamorro Chicken with Pineapple Salsa. Scroll back a few weeks on the feed for the Pancit recipe and the Chamorro Chicken is from The Meal Prep Manual-2nd Edition. I like to try cooking meals from all kinds of different cultures because it keeps things interesting and because it allows me to experiment with different flavors. One of my favorite things to do is to eat the local food of places I travel and then try and recreate those dishes into meal prep recipes. Unfortunately I haven’t had the opportunity to travel too much but you can find a few of my recipes on this page that have been inspired by my travels. There is a pulled pork and banana pudding recipe that was inspired by a restaurant in Nashville. The Brazilian Chicken Stroganoff recipe was inspired by a restaurant in São Paulo that I used to eat at after work. I find that these dishes are my favorite to prep because not only do they taste great but they also bring back memories of the first time I ate the meals. . . I’ve been making tacos so much recently that quite a few of you have asked me if I’m Mexican because I cook Latin food so often. The answer is no, I just like Latin food 🤠. I am white and Chamorro. The two dishes in this picture are two meals that I grew up eating. My grandma is from the island of Saipan and these two dishes are meals she would cook for us often. The left side is a dish called Pancit. It is a Filipino dish that is made with rice noodles, meat, and just about any vegetables you have on hand. The right side is a meal that is usually made with chicken legs but to make it meal prep friendly it has been altered. One thing to consider when cooking this dish for your preps is to make sure you give the sauce time to reduce. Roasted potatoes are one of my go-to foods pretty much all day, any day. Great for breakfast, perfect leftover for lunch, and the perfect accompaniment to any dinner (or, in some cases, for dinner with some @siggisdairy 0% icelandic yogurt, as pictured). And if you spent too much at restaurant week last week like I did, they’re a cheap way to get through nightly meals until you get paid again. And lucky for you, I have the easiest possible recipe for them. . Literally So Easy Roasted Potatoes 🥔🔥 . 1 large potato 1 tablespoon of olive oil ½ tablespoon garlic powder 1-2 teaspoon paprika Salt & pepper . Preheat oven to 400. Chop up your potatoes into 1.5 inch pieces (Doesn’t have to be perfect. The potatoes aren’t judging your knife skills, and neither am I). Put in a medium bowl and drizzle over olive oil. I’ve included measurements in the recipe, but honestly, I just kinda take everything and dump it over the potatoes. This is really hard to mess up, I promise. . Add about a teaspoon each of salt and pepper, and using a spatula, stir the potatoes until they’re evenly covered. Then add the garlic powder and paprika and do the same. You can tell when it’s all covered by how evenly distributed the bright red paprika is. . Spray a baking sheet with nonstick spray and arrange the potatoes on the sheet, keeping  space between all of them. Pop them in the oven for 20 minutes, then remove them, and flip the potatoes over. Then throw them back in the oven for 10 more minutes. And they’re done! . I like to serve them with a tart greek or icelandic yogurt. I learned this from my aunt who used greek yogurt instead of sour cream on her baked potatoes. It’s amazing, trust me. But you can also top with hot sauce, ketchup, pretty much anything.

Batch of Granola going in. This is so easy to, it takes minutes and keeps for ages in a sealed jar. Toby loves it with Greek yoghurt honey & fruit. You can chuck anything you have in the cupboards in. I used Apricots, raisins, sunflower seeds, desiccated coconut, ground Almonds & porridge oats.
