AB EXERCISES YOU AREN’T DOING By @JoeActivated (READ MORE👇🏽) . Here are THREE effective ab exercises that you probably aren’t doing and will work wonders if you add some of them into your routine. My ab routine is always followed by my main exercise with a switch up of the exercises listed in this video… . TRX AB ROLLOUTS (try 3 x 10 ) The lower you have the band to the floor, the harder it gets. This is not an easy exercise. It’s a much better alternative to planks and to ab wheel rollouts if you don’t have an ab roller. Slowly progress by lowering the TRX band until you have the strength to do so. Eventually, the goal should be to perform ab WHEEL rollouts standing! . ONE ARM CABLE CRUNCH (try 3 x 15 each arm) A great core destroyer, especially for your upper abs. Focus on keeping your spine bent so that your hip flexors are initiating too much of the movement. Your arm is meant to stabilize the movement as well. Don’t use too much of your arm so that we don’t turn this into a back exercise. . SUITCASE DEADLIFTS (try 3 x 15 each arm) Pretend that you’re doing a deadlift, but with one hand! The form is the same. You’ll want to focus on not tipping over (obliques help prevent that) to really get the main benefits of this exercise. Maintain a neutral spine, don’t turn this movement into a squat (deadlift = hip hinge), and you’re good!

We used to workout after work often about a year ago but because we work overnight it became too much and our workouts suffered. We were just too tired (even with preworkout). ⁣ 👑⁣ Nevertheless I got in a great bicep and tricep workout. ⁣ ⁣ 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐝:⁣ 1️⃣Cable Bicep Curl (w/rope) 3x10-12⁣ 2️⃣Tricep Rope Pulldown 3x10-12⁣ 3️⃣Single-arm Cable Pulldown 3x12 each arm⁣ ⁣ 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨:⁣ 4️⃣Dumbbell bicep curl⁣ 5️⃣Barbell Curl⁣ 6️⃣Tricep Dips on bench⁣ 7️⃣Overhead Tricep Extension ⁣ ⁣ I did complete a 10 minute warm-up on the treadmill but no cardio was done. The seated cable row is a pulling exercise that works the back muscles in general, particularly the latissimus dorsi. It can also work both the forearm and the upper arm muscles, as the biceps and triceps work as dynamic stabilizers. There are various attachments that you can use for the seated cable row as well. For example the ⁣V-grip attachment generally targets the inner back muscles such as the rhomboids and mid-traps, but a wide-grip bar targets the rear delts and outer lats more. ⁣ ⁣ In terms of performing a seated cable row this is what you want to do:⁣ ⁣ Sit on the bench with your knees bent and grasp the cable attachment. Having your knees slightly bent allows for you to grab the handle with outstretched arms without curling the lower back over. Ensure that your core is engaged before starting the movement. ⁣ ⁣ Next you want to pull the handle and weight back towards your abdomen. ⁣ ⁣ Target the middle to upper back by squeezing your shoulder blades together as you row. Having your shoulders retracted is key to this movement. Remember to keep your chest out and proud, and to look forward. ⁣ When returning the handle forward, ensure that you are keeping constant tension, that way your back remains straight. Flexing at the hips is ideal in order to maintain a straight back. ⁣ ⁣ What you don’t want to have is:⁣ ⁣ A Rounded Back⁣ Leaning too far forwards reduces the amount of tension on the target muscles as your shoulders are not retracted. You don’t want to overextend your back as well. Avoid collapsing forward by always keeping your core engaged and chest up. ⁣ ⁣ A Moving Torso⁣ Use your arms for the motion rather than moving your torso. Today was day 2 of my #cryotherapy treatments at @quickcryo in Chelsea and I’m seriously feeling the difference already. I felt absolutely amazing after both treatments. Tomorrow I’ll be combing my treatment with a Flight Class at Rise by @wework and I’ll be posting in my stories. I will do a weigh in and finish my blog post on @thepricelesswoman when I’m done the full 10 treatments⁣ .⁣ .⁣ I have never used my Spring Break to be this deliberate about actually taking a break and taking care of me. Happy Wednesday Folks🗣 ▫️ I had the pleasure to train with @t3sportskc today and man was 👏🏽it👏🏽 a 👏🏽session!!!!! We did a full body circuit + cardio (the clips above are just little snippets of a few exercises). ▫️ You never know how easy you take it on yourself until you get with a trainer and they push you to your full potential. He was very knowledgeable about proper form and how to target the muscle/ muscle groups that you are working out 🏋🏽‍♀️. ▫️ Yes I was sweating and yes I was fatigued (this 👌🏽close to 🤮) and at one point I was ready to quit lol 😂 but he pushed me thru and made me dig deep I will definitely be back for more 💪🏽! HUGE MISCONCEPTION that i hear all the time! The biology nerd in me feels compelled to bust this myth whenever I hear it 🤓 🧪 🧬 🧫 🤔 💭 📚 ... • Muscle [does not] weigh more than fat •1lb of muscle = 1lb of fat. 1lb of feathers = 1lb of bricks. A pound is a pound. • Muscle is more DENSE than fat, meaning it’s more compact and therefore takes up less room in your body. That’s why sometimes you’ll notice your clothes are fitting better even though you haven’t lost weight. You’ve gained muscle while burning fat, which frees up space. This is called body recomposition. • Sometimes the number on the scale go UP and you’ll notice your clothes will fit better. Increased lean muscle mass and decreased body fat will do this. Again, body recomposition! • You’ll come to understand that body weight doesn’t mean much and you shouldn’t be relying solely on the scale to track your progress. There are incredibly unhealthy (high body fat %) people who weigh 120lbs and lean people who weigh 200lbs. it’s overall body fat you need to focus on decreasing! PSSSST! SHARE WITH A FRIEND!! The past few weeks has made me really evaluate my own B.S....when it comes to living the life you really want you have to sacrafice alot! You have to get super uncomfortable!!
