We are such over thinkers. We totally over complicate so many things. And we definitely believe we need drastic change and restrict ourselves from so much to see any type of results in our lives. . But really it’s simple. It’s little tiny things that make things drastically change over time. Well, considering I’ve been awake pretty much since 1:40am with Little Miss, I’ve got a few... . ▪️Got her to sleep in her crib after a couple hours of me holding her 😴. ▪️Officially started my day at 4:30am ⏰. ▪️Got my workout in 🏋🏻‍♀️ ▪️Listened to some personal development 📚 ▪️Showered 🚿 (which included washing my hair 😱🙌) ▪️ And I’m hoping to get a little work in before she wakes up 💻 . . You guys, I had every excuse to go back to bed and not do my workout. But you know what I’ve learned? First off, going back to bed always leaves me MORE tired than if I had just stayed awak. And secondly, I was in a piss poor mood yesterday. I HAD TO get my “me time” in today so I could change my mood and be a better mama to Paige and better wife to Nick. Neither of them deserve me having little patience and biting their head off. . If you feel like you need a change in routine, need to learn how to rid yourself of “mom guilt”, or make waking up in the morning a little more bearable, or simply want to improve your health, you know I’m here. . . What are your favorite ways to wind down in the evening? With kiddos, it’s so helpful to have routines to create an atmosphere of calm as we head towards sleep. A few of our favorite evening routines include bath time with essential oil infused Epsom salts, watching a favorite show with a comfy blankie, reading books, wellness oily massages, snuggle time, songs, prayers, and lately diffusing this combo. Peace and Calming has been one of my favorite blends with the kiddos. It smells so good and helps to breathe some calm into our evenings. Mix it up until everything is mixed in completely. Microwave for 2 minutes. Take it out and flip it onto a plate (might need a knife to loosen edges) and I like to top with a few chocolate chips and a dash of cinnamon or a little spoonful of peanut butter to the top When it's cooking it will rise up in the mug, maybe over the rim a little, you know it's done when it begins to fall. Here is another recipe option: 2 egg whites 2 T unsweetened almond milk 2 scoops cookies and cream Formula 1 2 1/2 T oat flour 1 tsp vanilla 2 T shredded carrot OR zucchini 1 tsp baking powder dash cinnamon 1 T honey. Mix together. Spray mug with cooking spray, Pour batter in and microwave 1.5-2 minutes. Can be frosted with 1 T vanilla PDM and unsweetened almond milk. DELICIOUS!!!!!!!! I consider myself someone who can manage stress very well. I’ve never really felt burned out except from when I used to train triathlon many years ago. Doing something with the same intensity every day can lead to poor motivation, exhaustion and sadness or depression. Whenever I feel I’m reaching that point I like (if possible) to just disconnect. Going camping really makes everything go away. Connecting with nature and myself, that’s the best medicine. Lately I have been focusing on creating conscious connections and relationships. And to be honest, it’s been hard work. For years, I have held onto the belief that I was just too much for other humans. That the reason I wasn’t making and keeping friends was because I was damaged and something was wrong with me. This belief stemmed from the relationship I had with myself. The relationship with myself was distant, I never wanted to feel into my feelings because they were too much to handle. I didn’t want to hug and love my inner child because I didn’t know how. And I spoke negatively to myself every single day. I really got down on myself some days. If we don’t know how to love ourselves, we don’t know how to love withers deeply either. Learning how to let love in requires spending time with yourself. It requires getting to know the parts of yourself that you’ve avoided, buried, or pretended didn’t exist. I have lost so many friendships in my life because I didn’t know how to let others in in a healthy and nourishing way. I didn’t know what healthy boundaries were or how to effectively communicate my thoughts or feelings. This all changed when I decided to have a relationship with myself. I decided to spend some time with my weirdness, my happiness, my anger, all of the things. I let myself get wild at times and quiet and reflective in others. I got to know myself. And now that I have cultivated this deep love within, I made the conscious decision to start figuring out how I can love more without. Then the right people started coming into my life. The right opportunities began to present themselves and all of a sudden I was in the midst of the community I had always dreamed of having. It all begins with you. Start where you are, use what you have. This post is about being #fat in #yourmind but actually being #fit and #greatlooking even without being #fitaf Today l went to my friend's house and she gave me jeans that don't fit her. They are too tight on her. Why is she telling me they are for sure gonna fit me? How in the world would they fit? She is like half my size. Well... I fit in those jeans. And still don't know how. My mind is screaming it's not possible, but in reality it is. We are who we are, we make our best to be who we are, we try our best, we thrive and yet we aren't happy with reflection in our mirror. Why? Do we have to have six-pack? Do we have to be perfect? This is the only body we will ever have, look at it as tho it is the most perfect thing ever created! Our mind plays tricks on us, l guess everyone spends a good part of their lives being unhappy with the reflection in the mirror. But that is only us. People around us see as as beautiful people, it's not only what is on the outside... What matters is that we work on ourselves. We try to be the best version of ourselves. That means if he/she has the time to do thisthatandeverythingelse, we don't have to. Me, l don't have time to workout more than an hour a day. Sometimes 20 minutes is all l have. Actually l have more, but l like spending time with my friends and family and l don't want to sacriface that. But that is me. That is my life. My one and only body that l have enjoyes it. Or my one and only mind 😅 Be yourself. Love yourself. Cerish what you love in your life, because it is only one you have.
