Failure it Positive. Yep that’s what I believe. While I’m not free of self-doubt, I can honestly say I believe in myself. That doesn’t mean I think I’ll never fail I will. I am ok with that. I have learned that we don’t fail we “Fail forward”. It is completely fine to try and to not succeed. It ok to put yourself out there and not be perfect. How is failure positive? Failures are the little pieces of feedback necessary for each of us to learn from and to grow. Learn to look at “failure” as something positive and embrace it Then analyze it to figure out what our lesson was and move forward. When we can get better at this — which takes a lot of practice — we can start to remove the things that hold us back. * Push past your discomforts * * Stick to a habit, do not listen to the negative self-talk that normally holds you back. * * Learn to trust yourself. * * Learn through repeated trial and error that you are stronger than you think, that you are more capable and more tolerant of discomfort than you think. And in this practice, you will find yourself. And realize that you were great all along.

Wellness Wednesday tip 👟👟 Eat MORE 🥑🥥🍋 When you eat less than your bod needs, your metabolism starts to slow down. An old client of mine was working out 2x a day (combining strength with cardio), eating healthy, nutritious foods and was doing everything society says you “should” be doing. BUT she wasn’t eating enough to see maximum, even though she was eating 3 meals per day and snacks. Once I advised her to bump her calories up to at least 300 more per day, she started to see lean muscle from strength training and fueling her body properly. ❤️❤️❤️ #foodisfuel

Exactly 10 years ago today, I met @davepitt3 and my life changed forever — even if I didn’t know it yet! I thought it would be fun to tell you how we met — the old-fashioned way — at a bar. We were both living in downtown Orlando, it was a Friday night after work, all you can drink, we were each with a few friends throwing them back, I saw him across the bar, and I knew I wanted to talk to him — so I did! I went up to him a bit later and threw a good pick-up line, and the rest is history. We found out while talking that we actually lived in the same high-rise building in downtown, he asked for my number, met my brother (who was there with my group), and I went on my way to the next stop, not realizing I had just been introduced my husband, best guy, father of my children and total partner in life. 10 year challenge done right 😈

I had just finished cleaning my apartment, ready to relax and enjoy my evening, when I spilled something on my pristine couch. I was so done with cleaning at this point, but of course I had to take the slip cover off of my couch and throw it in the wash. Well, turns out when I moved my couch to take the slip-cover off, there were actually dust bunnies behind it and some crumbs in the cushions. What started as a little annoyance, revealed to me a place I had overlooked that needed cleaning. 🧹 I feel this translates over to life in a similar way. You may be tidying up your life in obvious areas like eating healthy foods, moving your body, getting proper rest, etc but the places where you need to do the deeper clean are usually not as visible. Where are your emotional dust bunnies hiding? I’ll give you a hint. It’s in the spaces of your life where you get angry, or anxious, or sad or feel shame. When you get triggered, which is a natural part of growth, take a moment to reflect on why this feeling has arisen and what it is offering to teach you. The next time you feel anger, don’t stuff it down, instead express it in a healthy way. If you feel shame, write your heart out on a piece of paper and then set it on fire. If you feel sad, let yourself release as many tears as you need to. Clean out those emotional dust bunnies from your life, clear the cobwebs out of the corners of your mind where you don’t often look. Do the deep clean on a soul level, and notice how much lighter you will feel afterwards.

You are a part of nature. It's so important to go outside as much as you can. I can't think of anything more natural than connecting with Gaia underneath some beautiful pine trees or bathing in the life giving sun. 🌲 You don't even have to go far. Just step outside the office for a small break. Take a walk when you get home from work. This weekend, take a couple of hours to go on a hike close by. Go early in the morning so that you can be in the silence of the early day. Or simply just let the sun wash over your face. ☉ Take deep breaths and dig your feet into the ground. Feel the earth beneath you. Feel the temperature of the air on your skin. You are loved. You have everything you need right now. You are powerful. ❤

#10yearchallenge Wow so much has changed over 10 years. So much we could say about those girls back then... We barely recognize them.🙈 Actually, it was about 10 years ago when we dove into raw vegan foods thinking it was going to fix us. It didn't. We actually jumped from diet to diet trying to "fix" us...Hint: they don't!❌ We also got into extreme HIIT workouts thinking it would make us love ourselves because of how lean we were getting. It didn't. Our journey is our journey... And looking back we are grateful for all that we tried because it made us who we are today.😊 Much happier stronger (physically, mentally and emotionally) living a more balanced life with no extreme or long workouts, no diet restrictions, but more love, grace and compassion.🥰 Also looking back we were girls feeling miserable inside and felt completely alone. We had no self-confidence which caused us to say and act in ways we are not proud of... But we learn. We grow. We changed. The past 4 years have been about rediscovering who we really are, what are our truths, who do we want to be and what kind of life do we want... each year we get better at being just us - unapologetically...☺️ each year we have shredded old layers of ourselves to recover who we really are... and we love ourselves more and more.💖 Make sure you take time to celebrate who you are today and reflect on your journey. Another idea of a simple dinner for all of you ✨Glow-Getters✨!!! Notice that my plate is about 1/4 protein and 3/4 vegetables. If you’re trying to lose or maintain weight or just feel your best, this is what your plate should look like! 🌟 🌟Zoodles made on stove top with a light spray of avocado oil, a splash of coconut aminos, salt and pepper. 🌟 🌟I marinated the shrimp (tails off!) in a combo of EVOO, the juice of a whole 🍋, and my Magic Seafood spice blend from @mtkiscoseafood. Added to a cast iron skillet and cooked for 3-4 minutes until shrimp lost their transparency. Then I added the zoodles to the cast iron and mixed it all together! 🌟 🌟Veggie side is broccoli, cauliflower and romanesco roasted at 450 for 20 mins. On parchment paper sprayed with light coating of coconut oil, salt and pepper!

Almost looks too good to be this healthy, right? Now this is how ya do it folks. 75% plants (ie. mostly veggies) 🌿🍅🥒🥦🥑🍠. And leftovers FTW 🙌💃. This was dinner and I didn't cook a darn thing (aren't those the best kind of nights?). We had some friends over on Sunday to grill and, per usual, I cooked way too much food. I’ve shared on my stories before but I make all my lunches for the week on Sunday and happy to report this week was a good lunch week (and easy!) -2 cups uncooked quinoa -1 lb ground turkey -1 tablespoon olive oil -1 cup chopped onions -6 garlic cloves chopped -1 tablespoon cumin -2 teaspoons garlic powder -3 chopped yellow squash -3 chopped carrots -1 can black beans rinsed and dried -1 cup salsa verde -1 cup pepper jack cheese Cook the quinoa according to package directions and set aside. Brown the ground turkey and drain any grease. Set aside. Put the olive oil, onion, garlic cloves, cumin and garlic powder in a skillet and cook until the onions are translucent. Then add the carrots and squash and cook until the veggies are tender. Mix in quinoa, turkey, beans, salsa, and cheese until warm! Not pictured but topping with avocado and it’s so good! 🥑
