The first picture was around 5 months post partum. The second is today. ⁣ ⁣ I remember the feeling while looking at myself in the mirror that day. Before photos can be SO hard. This past year was a struggle for me. Finding the will to push play + eat healthy didn’t happen a lot. I did workout but I only showed up half the time. ⁣ ⁣ This past week has been my best yet. I have that desire in my heart to want to feel good again. It’s taken a year+ to get that feeling back but even through all the half assed workouts and meals, I’m still HERE. Even when it wasn’t 100%, I’m here. ⁣ ⁣ I want to encourage you to keep pushing and keep moving forward. Even on the days you didn’t do your best. Even when you don’t want to. Even when you’ve had a year like me where you just honestly didn’t care. Keep going. ⁣ ⁣ Because the feeling I have RIGHT NOW is indescribable. Reading this bracelet over and over again today (long post #sorrynotsorry) . . YALL I was not a happy camper when Noah and I rolled up to school to see that they were off today. I'm not feeling well. I can't talk. I have no appetite. My head feels like a balloon. I pretty much just wanted to cry. Was this going to set the tone for the rest of the day? "Enter mom guilt" for Noah not having any fun bc I was on the couch, under a blanket, convinced af I needed to stay there all day and STRESS about the work I needed to do. And all the reasons I "couldn't" do any of it. Yeah 🙄 . . But shout out to @jessicavalencia bc I knew if I texted her, she would tell me to get my ass up and do the workout on the schedule. So I wouldn't get behind. And guess what? She did 😅 accountability is so real . . I was able to share and help someone else. That is what this opportunity is all about. It is to INSPIRE by sharing the daily struggles, especially as a mother, and how I can learn to overcome them. So that I can help others do the same. When it gets so hot during your workout 🥵 and you have to take your shirt off. Mind you, it’s -4 degrees outside. Brr! 🥶 . The way I can do some abs 😂 I absolutely don't suggest to my clients to do abs or any other exercise of the sofa, but this makes my Danny so happy (can you hear him laughing?!) and I really need to make the most of the little chances I have to work my 🍑 off! I'm 6 months post partum and my #diastasisrecti is better, not perfect and not as close as it could have been if I'd had more time to work on his healing process, but I've managed to avoid to make it worse and it's now safe enough to start doing some very controlled abs exercises. Anyway, can you see him turning his head towards the TV when "Friends" song started? He ALWAYS does that, for this only song, and I truly believe it is because I've watched Friends in loop for the last month of my pregnancy and everytime the song was playing I used to dance and be happy and I can see he definitely felt that while in the womb - it's crazy how they can bring some - unconscious - memories from the belly 🤰 to outside 🤱 Please note ➡️ I don't do abs focused exercises to gain a six pack, but to strengthen my core to better support my back especially now that I'm carrying a baby all the time! I woke up this morning not feeling very well. Which means I slept in and missed my workout. Should I have gotten up? Yes, yes I should have woken up and worked out but I knew I wouldn’t give it 100%. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I got to work and the kiddos were reading books, playing with toys so I decided to do a little workout. I guess when I say “little” that’s a lie lol. I did Full Body HIIT from @liift4. I didn’t have any weights so figured that was the best. Head cold. Bushy hair. And booty goals. . I was feeling super exhausted and sick and did not want to gym today. I went anyway, and after I got my squats in I started to feel a little more energized and finished my whole leg workout. Now I can go home and be a happy couch potato knowing that I got my workout in. 😊🥔

{physical growth} . . This tummy has housed three babies!! One of which vacated nine months ago. Each pregnancy it’s been a bit harder bouncing back. . . As much as I love my mom bod and curves— especially the positive effects they have on my hubby— I’m not as physically energetic and strong as I use to be. . . My physical goal is to 1️⃣ drop two pants sizes this year by 2️⃣ eating healthier and 3️⃣ establishing a diligent physical fitness routine. . . My current habits are eating whatever I feel like and running up to 3 miles a few times a week. As you can see I’m maintaining weight but it shows in certain places... exhibit 1 the diamond between thighs and hip bulges. . . I need a core workout that will help get me lean and toned but— I loathe the gym because I prefer being outdoors. So it is going to be a challenge to find activities that burn fat year-round while having fun. Core workout suggestions welcome in the comment section 👇🏽 . . I think I’m going to need to hire a professional to jumpstart the process 🙄

Week 2 Day 1- Bring on ALL the feels! Today i thought I was going to: Puke Pass Out And I even cried! : One of the goals for this program is to beat our”Transformer” numbers from the previous week(these are one minute moves 3 per workout) It was here in the final Transformer with only 20 seconds left in the workout where I had to battle. I wanted to stop, but I wanted to beat my number. I wanted to give up on myself, but I thought what if I don’t. So I cried. I don’t think I have ever cried during or even after a workout- but this program is different. This program is about more that transforming our outside; it’s about working through what going on inside- therefore truly transforming and becoming the best possible versions of ourselves. And yup, I have STUFF going on inside- we all do. I never thought so much healing could come from a home workout. But, if you’re willing it can. #8monthspostbaby . Having my own children really sparked my #passion for reaching out to #women who had children and guiding them with body positivity and feeling great in their skin again. I know time isn’t your friend when you have toddlers running around or a newborn taking up all of your attention. BUT mama’s, do you know this? I’ve been getting frustrated with myself. Thinking I’m not doing enough or that I can do more. I juggle work, kids, I’m a personal taxi, and trying to be a supportive wife. He’s dropping!!! Slowly. I can breathe now, most of the time, so that’s nice. He’s running out of room, and space, and time. I’m still not huge to the point of I don’t want to do anything but sit on the couch. I am exhausted to that point, but if asked, I’m still quite capable of getting up and going for a brisk walk without too much issue. I do have a hard time bending or leaning forward now though, so rolling over in bed, sitting up off the couch, picking stuff up off the floor is a lot harder. He’s just jam packed in the muscles I need to do the bending part. I think I’ve probably lost more weight, maybe, I couldn’t eat for a few days, so maybe I’ll gain some of that back. Probably mostly water weight, anyway. Feeling tired. The insomnia has me beat. I can’t stop it. I get like 4 hours of sleep and then I’m wide awake for a couple of hours before I catch a quick nap between when my husband goes to work and my kids wake up. Other than that, can’t complain. Still two healthy people. Have you ever found yourself standing in front of the mirror wishing something about your body was different? That was me the past few days... and it was hard to shake. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I found myself thinking about how great I thought my body would have looked had I been in the shape I am now before I had my babies... and specifically, the ab definition I would have had instead of the loose skin and stretch marks I now have. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ SELF LOVE IS HARD! Some days I'm really good at it and honestly, some days I fail miserably. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Especially after pregnancy. A body I knew for my entire life, is now SO different. But, instead of pushing these thoughts and feelings aside, I try to acknowledge them and then remember that I wouldn't trade my sweet daughters in for a super model body. Not in a million years. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This body is incredible! It helped me grow two healthy babies. It is strong and allows me to move through my day with ease, and IT IS beautiful. Every single mark is the reflection of my journey to motherhood. And, it doesn't really matter how it looks... because I FEEL great. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I'm sharing this specific photo because it reminds me why I workout... not for aesthetics but for the way I feel afterwards! The happy endorphins and the feeling of accomplishment for pushing myself out of my comfort zone. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Mama, if you struggle with your new body some days, it's okay. Here's the thing...⁣ ⁣ There's always gunna be something else.⁣ ⁣ Something going on.⁣ Something more important.⁣ Something more demanding.⁣ Someone who needs you.⁣ Something to take your attention.⁣ Something to to try and stop you.⁣ ⁣ Kids.⁣ Sickness.⁣ Family stuff.⁣ You name it; it will come up.⁣ That's life!⁣ ⁣ If there is ONE thing that helps me become a better Mama, Wife, friend, etc... It's THIS! Because mama can't pour from an empty cup and nobody wants to know a Kelley who doesn't have an outlet to just move once a day and get the endorphins flowing!😂⁣ ⁣ Find that thing. The thing that makes you feel alive. That gives you an energy boost. That helps you be better for you family. And for me? That's been exercise! For my body, mind and spirit... Working on myself emotionally, physically and just mentally through personal development and through the strength I gain in pushing through a 20 min workout.⁣ ⁣ We all need a chance to fill our own cup and do something for ourselves so we can then serve those we love most BETTER!!⁣ ⁣ And this. Picture on left taken to date. 8 months postpartum... I've got that nice tummy... Looking like I'm still pregnant 🤣, the arms, neck fat... Yes it is all there.... Same pants.. Just unbuttoned. I have a bit of work to do and it's not that easy. I've tried a few months ago and just put on extra weight, I've gained a total of 13kgs after giving birth. So starting today I'll be changing my eating habits and gyming 3 times a week. I'll be posting my meals and monthly bod shots to follow improvement.
