Missing these two girls like crazy! It’s funny how people you only know on the Internet can have such an impact on you when you meet! . I love that I can have friends in Chicago and Corpus Christi and not have to wait months to see them. I can see them every.single.day! Thanks, Internet. :) . I may not live near YOU, but we can still be friends and hang out all the time. You can still be part of what I do, no matter how far away you live. . I have a few spots left in my October fitness challenge, so claim your spot and we can hang out every day too!. . . . . . #bestfitfriends #momswhorun #fitfam #preschoolmama #toddlermomlife #todderboymom #sororityfitness #sisterhoodfitness #newjerseymoms #icanhelp #positiveposse

Yesterday was my first day back at the gym after an accidental week off 🙈 it is the busiest season of the year for photography and I have been SWAMPED and trying to figure out a new routine to handle the craziness! But, I’m back at it and feeling really good about where I’m at ❤️ life definitely happens, don’t let it completely derail you from your goals. Pull yourself together and get right back at it 👊🏼

First POST-surgery run! Totally took advantage of this beautiful fall weather & figured I’d get a little spooky with some Halloween colors. Rocking @senita Ellie tights in colorway Copper (it should’ve been named Pumpkin Spice 😝) & my @goodr in colorway Whiskey Shots With Satan. My first run after having surgery wasn’t long but I want to ease my body back in to marathon training. #runner #womenwhorun #justdoit #running #runningcommunity #momswhorun #senitaathletics #goodr #nikerunning #marathontraining #runningmama

Spontanious evening run to test my new led running vest. It definitely will be a must for me for running in the dark from now on. It made me feel safe without the fear that I won’t be seen 👍🏻 . . Day 91/108: Excited to add this one to my collection. The Free Press races always have the best medals. HELL YES! Guess who’s back back back, back again.🎶 . . . I waited a full 8 weeks postpartum before I even tried running more than a couple minutes to make sure I was feeling good enough. I probably peed almost every stride but I ran a full mile at 11:34/mi. I ran/walked another mile home and was grinning ear to ear the whole time. My pelvic muscles are still pretty weak (hence why I’m peeing myself) but I have been working on simple core and pelvic exercises the past 4 weeks. They have been feeling stronger so I think time will tell. I am officially running the @charlestonmarathon half marathon on January 12 but definitely still sticking to taking running slow and steady. I rushed way too fast back into after having Charlie but you live and learn. So instead of running a half at 3 months pp like before, I’m waiting 5 months 😬

I am so grateful today!! Today I accomplished another goal on my list! I instructed my very first fitness class! It's a great introductory class, Silver Sneakers Classic. Our Rec Center has been without an instructor for a long time & the senior adults really missed it! I had 10 show up despite our cool temps & we had so much fun!! Lots of laughing!! Looking forward to learning & growing with this sweet group. I'll be teaching Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays at 10:30! 💜 But first, this morning's weather was perfect for a comfortable 3 mile recovery run! Then 30 minutes of yoga core work because I.AM.SO.SORE. My shins (tibilias anterior) from all the incline/decline in Saturday's race. 🏆 On Mondays, after racing we wear the shirt & medal!! 🙌 Right?! 🙌

Beautiful day but a chilly 2°C. Took me a good 2km to really warm up but still enjoyed it better than the treadmill 👍🏻 👍🏻 The Rideau canal water is drained and the sheds are being setup for winterlude. . . . #ottawa #autumnrunning #autumn #keepshowingup #runoftheday #makingtimetorun #running #feelingstronger #halfmarathontraining #momsofinstagram #runnerslife #runnergirl #outdoorrunning #irun #happyrunner #momswhorun #amateurrunner #runhappy #womensrunningcommunity #stayingfocused #lifetimefitness #overcomingchallenges #gottarun #endorphins #runottawa #iloverunning #keeprunning #runstagram #mentalwellness

Anyone else trying to keep their head above water this Monday?! I know I am 🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️ . . . . . . . . I have had my fair share of moments where I didn’t know if I could keep up with this hair business. Thoughts scrolling through my head: . “this isn’t for me anyways” . “I might as well quit before I become an epic failure” 😂 . “How am I supposed to continue being successful with two kids two and under?!” . “When am I supposed to fit this into my day!?” . That’s when I zoooooooom out and say to myself... ▶️ This business SIMPLE. Not easy...but simple. ▶️ This business is doable! Even with a packed schedule. Commit one hour a day and stay consistent. ▶️ The support of this team is unmatched. Be thankful for such an incredible group of women to do this alongside of. . This business has legitimately changed our family’s life. And my desire is to connect with you who are watching from the sideline. To hear your story. To hear your dreams and your goals. So hit me up if you’d like a look into this business and we can chat 💗 . . . . . . . . . #bossmom #mompreneur #motherhoodrising #motherhoodcorner #momswhorun #motherrunner #marathonmom #bossbabe #positivityiskey #entrepreneurmindset #happinessishere #veganhaircare #morethanmama #thehappynow #stayathomemom #runbabyrun #keeprunningwild #womensrunningcommunity #runforlife #childhoodunplugged #knoxvilletennessee #bostonmarathoner #wearefreedomcollective

Run, rest, repeat! I have to say I really struggle with the rest part. It is totally mental with me, I feel lazy if I haven’t gone out and really burned some calories. I took THREE WHOLE DAYS off from running!!?! It drove me absolutely mad, but physically, it was a good move... While most of my runner friends were out ROCKING the Baltimore Running Festival, I was sleeping sleeping sleeping😴😴😴 . . . I always forget how exhausting marathon training (and then traveling, and then racing a marathon, and then immediately returning back to work & momming) can be!!! Shout out to my husband @clickylizard who took over some extra parenting this weekend so I could snooze. I noticed and I appreciate it 😘 . . . Of course I have several races floating around my mind 😊😊😊😊 but so far I’ve only committed myself to a 5k this weekend with my brother and cousin 💙💙 . . . #motherrunner #runlikeamother #momswhorun #run #runner #runnersofinstagram #loverunning

I haven't run with a stroller in a really long time and this stroller did not make the cut. I thought it was going to fall apart on me and my fitbit was tracking about a quarter mile behind! . . I started to beat myself up and feel guilty about the whole situation but took a deep breath and as my hubby says "I turned it around". Sitting outside and just enjoying the sun and fresh air while the little one naps. . . #momlife #fitmom #everythingisbreaking #turnitaround #findingjoy #fallday #momswhorun

"Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit." Aristotle ____///__________ You got that right Aristotle 🙌🏼 I am feeling really good about my workouts and my concentration on strength, form, mobility and flexibility. Today's goal was 20 minutes up progressing every 200m slowly concentrating on my form. Keeping my HR below 150, cadence above 175 and opening up my stride. 30 minutes of lower body strength. And 10 minutes cool down easy slow progression. I hit all my goal for today. _____________________________________ Leg workout was: (all banded) 20 weighted squat jumps, 20 heel elevated narrow squats, 10 burpees, 12 curtsey lunge, 20 skater lunges for (2 rounds)... 20 step ups, 15 cable machine squats, 30 alt lunges, 15 single leg deadlifts, 50 high knees for 2 rounds. Burnout round: 20 curtsy lunge, 20 pulse squats, 15 burpees for 3 rounds no break.

2/3 of Americans are unhappy. 😳 Like what?? That’s ridiculous. Whether you want to get out of a bad relationship, move across the country, start a business, dye your hair purple or go to the moon — whyyy are you settling for less than you deserve?? 🤔 •• I know I’ll be the 1st one in line to tell ya it’s simple to settle. Settling {kinda} makes ya feel safe. I get that. But safe doesn’t always mean {happy}. •• Ya gotta get to the point where you wanna to do more with your life than just L I V E. Give yo’self permission to be more than just okay, & babes don’t be afraid to lose the -good for the great - •• Just startin’ yo’day 1 can be scary. I get that. But you’ll look back after 21 days of my loaded packed full of goodness bootcamp group, & realize it was worth every single bit. #pinkypromise🔥👌🏻& if it’s not — you can get yo’money back. •• We’re in this together gf. I need the accountability jus’ as much as you do. 👊🏻 FILL out the link in my bio or comment below! LEGGGGGO 🔥💁🏼‍♀️👌🏻

Go STL Halloween recap part 1. So if you follow my IG stories you know that I ran the GO Halloween 10k yesterday. You probably also know that running or cardio of any kind hasn’t been in my program since February due to trying to put on muscle (with a couple of small exceptions) I have gotten a lot of questions... am I dying today🤣 ... how did I feel during or how I feel now .. ect so going to try to cover them here with some tips. 1)Don’t expect results you didn’t train for. When I say I haven’t ran since February I am not exaggerating to make a point it’s the honest truth. I did do one 7k with Go STL in April... and I did 12 days of a 3 mile runs back in July for the 30 for the kids but that’s it (no other cardio ... elliptical, biking ect). So I didn’t feel I was trained for any kind of run past a 5k. So I didn’t push for speed of any kind or a finish time - granted I gave it a good hustle🏃🏻‍♀️ but didn’t push beyond my “comfortable” physical limits. As a single mom it was important for me to finish strong & able to run &chase a toddler the rest of the day🤣. I like to tell people run the mile you are in. You aren’t going to tackle mile one with the same aggression as your final mile. I like to gradually increase the exertion & effort as I go so that I can leave it all in the final mile! 2)Get your head in the game. I didn’t look at any of the pace clocks or my Garmin at all. I didn’t want to think I was going too fast and worried if I could sustain the speed or if I was going too slow and push beyond that comfortable pace I talked about earlier. 3)It was just a 10k. - this is not to discredit those who that is an achievement for- everyone STARTS somewhere but despite taking a big cardio gap there are a few things I do have going for me. I still train 5 days a week, and crush legs🙌🏻 two out of those five so my legs do have power & strength. Also even if it was over a year ago I have ran several halfs and full marathons. 4) I moved a lot yesterday and worked out today!💪🏻 To me the more active I am after a race the better I recover. I chased my son around moved a lot. Nothing really hurt yesterday or even into today 🙌🏻

🚗💨A spontaneous Friday night road trip took my daughter and me to So Cal 🏖 We head banged 🎶our way down the lit up freeways with a lot of carpool karaoke😛 and had as much soda and candy as we needed to keep us awake😳 Always fun to have a legit excuse for junk food😁🥤🍦 . The time off from running gave me just the rest I needed and it’s never a bad idea to take a little break from social media😚. With all this free time, my sister extraordinaire took me to all her favorite trails and beaches for some photo shoots🔫 I’m amazed at her talent @bubbaloophotography and we enjoyed some much needed bonding time👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩 After 3 days off from 🏃🏻‍♀️ running the fiery pain in my achilles is gone and I’m able to do some pain free strides🙌🏻 Feeling optimistic. . Hope my IG fam had a great weekend❤️#backtothegrind #runninggirl

I’m a huge fan of doing farmer carries, I mean they’re awful during them but I feel like I am getting stronger every time I do them! Highly recommend a couple sets for a few hundred feet a couple days a weeks. #getstrong

If you look closely you’ll see smudgy erase marks on my PR board because alllll of those times were replaced with new ones this year! 2018 race season, you treated me well! 🏃🏻‍♀️🌟💪🏻 P.S. Yes I know that full marathon spot is staring me in the face. I’m not ready to talk about it. 🙈

🚶🏻‍♀️<— how I feel 😬😂😭 run today did not feel excellent on my back/hip, although stretching afterwards felt better, everything went down hill when I went to shower 🤦🏻‍♀️ ortho appt is Wednesday to see what’s up.. hopefully it’s just muscle related or SI dysfunction 😫🙄
