If you saw the previous post, you saw how many lbs they had to lift. This took from 39 to 44 minutes to complete. 5000 lbs divided by 135 or 185 lbs. do the math. Plus there was 'cardio' and body weight exercises. This combo of reach push-ups and a 50 foot bear crawl was pretty damn effective. Before that they had done a super set of 5 reps of bench followed by dips. Worked some relative weight and body weight today. Got all of the parts, looks like upper body, but everything gets used in a bear crawl. Amazing class, one of the best challenges. One of the things I strive for here is creating a class or session that is a great challenge but not a demoralizing kick in the teeth. This one here was finish between 28 and 32 minutes or so. Zach finished first, then joined in with Ernie and John as they completed the workout. I've said it before about this place, uncommon comradery is a common virtue. Nobody gets left behind. We all push each other and encourage each other. There's still room for a few more dedicated people on Saturday. The morning workout was to move 5000, 3000 and 2000 lbs. 1st in deadlift, 2nd in cleans and 3rd in presses. Between each round was a 400 meter run. Next time, more weight. They killed it. These 4 men are strong on so many levels. One a Veteran, one a Sailor, one a Spartan and one a Salt of the Earth hard working man of honor. We had about 20 min left after the workout so we did a modified 'Tailpipe' workout. Each person rowed 500 meters while the other held kettle bells in the racked position. Snuck in a little ladies only class tonight. What an amazing month this has been. I started it out a little lost and unsure. Having to reduce the size of my gym because I simply couldn't afford the rent was a shot to my ego. My wife, clients and friends all reassured me and really were the thing that got me through this. The first weeks of the month were tough and scary. What a turnaround. 3 new clients and a new trainer coming on board. I never should have expanded in the first place, but it was a lesson worth learning.
