👉🏼 Balance A mistake that many people make, is thinking of balance only in the short-term. Yes, balance is important. BUT that does not mean that you have to have it on a daily, weekly or even monthly basis! — Balancing work and leisure time or family for example might mean that you are working hard for years when you are young to enjoy your time with the family later in life. Or that you are working long hours for months before you go on holidays for some weeks. — And dietary balance does not mean that you have to have a cookie every day to 'balance' your proteins and veggies. It can however mean that you are strict with your diet for weeks or months, before there comes a period where you are a bit more relaxed with your food intake. — For me, it means that after a year of not tracking or eating after a mealplan, plus 2 months in the US with more frequent alcohol consumption and irregular sleeping patterns, I am more than ready to start prepping (dieting) from January on! → (Flexible) mealplan, no alcohol, consistent sleep/wake cycle & increased cardio! 👊🏼💯 — How do you define and keep your "balance"❓

When I won my first @ukbff_official British Championship nearly 2 months ago now these two inspirational human beings that are now my angels in the sky were my motivation... A comp that I once I had qualified was what I was looking forward to soon became not even a second thought... But then i remembered that I wasn’t just doing it for me, I had made promises that I needed to make good on and found the motivation I lacked in their spirits and it drove me on and got me through the hardest prep I have done to date.. ♾ ♾ My auntie always took an interest in me competing from the very start, she was forever asking me questions. This conversation was just after I came second at the @ukbff_official Grand Prix earlier this year and I promised her next time I’d bring the gold home for her and I’m so grateful that I didn’t let her down, made good on my promise and I could say after “Auntie We Did It!!!” / / And my bro this was a common interest of ours and he was actually paving the way towards this before I had even started... Between @tstyles___, @atffitness (@19atf86), @mounknown_, @k_movement, @andreleon1, myself and anyone else I’ve forgot to mention we all do something in our own way to carry on his legacy and keep his hashtag going. So this is my way of keeping his legacy alive and picking up the mantle where he left off and carrying it on further in body while he pushes me on further in spirit. / / / Sometimes we can find the motivation we require in others when we can’t find it in ourselves, whether that be the living or the dead.
