Somebody asked me today “how are you able to discipline yourself so much, eating well and training at such a tough time of year when there are food and treats everywhere?” My answer was simple. “Because I want to” I like to look after myself and I love to keep active, give me a goal and I’ll reach it, give me a target and I’ll smash it. This time of year is commercialised so early on and everybody tends to jump on board, buys into it and uses it as an excuse to over indulge. I know I don’t need sweets, chocolate and alcohol to enjoy myself. I’ve set myself a target that allows me to finish the task at hand just before the main event of Christmas. I’ve then given myself 2 weeks off to do what ever I want when I finish and then I’m back in the game come the new year. My main reason for this 8 weeks is that I need focus. I love to have focus and routine, allowing me to be consistent and accountable to something or someone. Day 2! Photos are a massive indicator of progress when it comes to weight loss and transformations! I often tell clients that photos and measurements as the best way to check if they are making progress. Weights can fluctuate at the best of times and isn’t always a brilliant source of information when it comes to hitting those goals. The scales ruin people lives and they live by the numbers that the scales tell them on a daily basis. Next time you set a target only take two weights, a start weight and an end weight. Photograph and measure yourself every 2 weeks. No matter what you do some people aren't going to like you or what you're doing no matter what you do. So do what makes you happy and be the best you, you can be 👸 I had had so many girls/guys laugh at me in the gym while I'm working out, minding my own business. They have have no reason to be laughing. There the ones that have came to the gym to have a social chat doing nothing productive and I'm here putting effort in the gym because I actually want to make difference. Don't let people intimidate you or make you feel bad for putting effort into the way you look. No matter what even if it takes a week or a year, if you keep putting effort in, you won't care what they think because you will be comfortable and happy with how you look. And that will be the best feeling you'll ever feel 💖
