That comment was the motivation I needed to get my unhealthy butt in gear and the moment I got back to the states, I joined a gym. Y’all, I’m not gonna lie it was toughhhh. I had never really worked out before and the first Monday I took a boxing class I was sore until Sunday! But I kept at it and soon I was able to go Mondays AND Thursdays. And then Monday, Thursday, Sunday, and so on. . . Over the course of the past 36 months I have lost 35 pounds of fat and gained 10 pounds of muscle. More importantly than how I look though, is how I feel. I’m so proud of myself for how strong I’ve gotten! I can literally lift HUNDREDS of pounds at a time!! That woman in Belize changed my life. I’m so grateful for my friends and family who have rooted me in along this journey, and couldn’t have done it without @johnsgymatx @otlfitness and @crossfitcharleston. . . I know you’re never suppose to #nevermissamonday but having a race on Sunday really threw me off. After working 12 hours yesterday, I needed to listen to my body and my mind and take it easy for the night. I relaxed in bed and slept for 9 hours and feel pretty good today... still sore all over and my shins hurt slightly, but I rolled out of bed and pushed play for my daily workout! . . I’m dedicated to changing my life and sticking to my health and fitness goals. I know that I’m stronger than my excuses and I will not let them get in my way to being who I want to become! 👊 . . • I wanted to attempt a barbell squat this weekend but was bummed to see the area packed on a Saturday morning. Thankfully, our gym has a women's gym and there was about 3 people in there! Beat my own PR (of just the bar) with 25lbs on each side. I think wearing chucks really helped out which made more sense than wearing my regular trail shoes. It looks a wee bit lop-sided but I had my phone on my gym bag which didn't help to keep it straight. But yay for progress! 😊 • • • Sets: 3 Reps: 6 Weight: 25lbs each side Bar: 33lbs

This is how I feel after my yesterday’s 4 mile run. Another Runner’s high kicked in at mile 1 and I felt like I could run forever! 💫 (but of course I couldn’t, just wondering what my chiropractor has to tell me today 🤔) How often do you happen to have runner’s high?

I just wanted to highlight these two gentleman for a second. _ They’ve both been working with us at @thefitnesscoalition for a little over 6-7 months now. _ When they both started. They each had deadlifts (conventional) right around a little over 500lbs. As legit One-Rep-maxes. _ Yesterday, from a 2” Block, they both pulled 600lbs, and 605lbs respectively in a Sumo Deadlift. Which is actually a harder variation than a conventional. _ There’s no doubt in my mind that Servando (first video) will pull 600lbs this year in both deadlift variations (conventional, Sumo). John (second video) has pulled 600 from the floor conventional before. What’s great about last night is that Sumo is his weaker position, and he’s pulling from a block, which means the bar is elevated off the floor. John is a very explosive from the floor lifter. Meaning he has tremendous leg drive. Taking the bar off the floor is harder from him because it takes away some of the leg drive. He has a powerlifting meet coming up on May 4th. I’m excited to see what he totals at that meet. _ I’m fucking proud of these two guys. They show up daily and put the consistent work in that’s needed to constantly improve. Keep it up guys. The TRUTH is.... I STILL struggle with my BODY IMAGE! ⠀🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️ ⠀ The truth is, every single day I have to wake up and remind myself that my skin is beautiful, that I am strong, that I am not going to let comparison to those on social who look perfect steal my joy! I still fight that battle between eating all the sugary carb loaded foods and eating clean! 🍉🍕I love to eat and I actually really love sweets! 🍩🍦But I also want to feel good! GAHH #thestruggleisreal⠀ ⠀ I struggle with that internal battle of just not giving a crap and then also knowing how good my body feels when I take care of it. I mean I'm more mentally clear, I have energy and I'm not as grouchy!⠀ ⠀ I still struggle with not feeling like working out at times too!⠀💯 ⠀ I'm human and I'm going to be completely honest, sometimes my own head still gets the best of me. Even though I KNOW my body is beautiful just the way it is. Even though I know I'm my strongest self right now! Even though I know I'm healthier than ever before, those thoughts still find their way into my brain.⠀ ⠀ It is a daily practice to replace those thoughts with positivity and to embrace the skin that I am in! It's a choice every day to push play and work on being the best version of myself that I can be.⠀ ⠀ So please don't ever look at me and think I have it all figured out! OH HECK NO... Feeling pretttyyy good lately! Had a “screw it I’m going for it” kind of moment yesterday. I never give myself enough credit for how much I can lift - so I decided to test my deadlift. I was able to get 180lbs for 6 reps! First 3 felt great, decided to capture the last 3 😊. My grip started to shit out on me, so I’ll save more for next time. He will chase me down and fight til I’m found. He will give Himself away and die on a cross for me. I don’t deserve it. I can never deserve it, yet He will continue to love me with an agapē kind of love. I pray I live my life in such a way that God’s love flows through me and spreads to those around me. I want to be love in a world where love can sometimes be hard to find. ❤️

Never Miss A Bumday🍑🍑🍑

So after a terrible weekend I was back on track yesterday. Got a blue dot with 3 rollovers, 30 minute workout and 10,000 steps. Not too shabby. Hoping to keep the momentum for the week.⁣ ⁣ Breakfast: banana, black coffee⁣ ⁣ Lunch: Sweet & Spicy tuna (2sp) w/ popchips (3sp) and grapes⁣ ⁣ Dinner: this is probably going to sound gross, but spinach/feta omelette topped with turkey chili. (2sp for feta + 3sp for turkey chili) ⁣ I also had an extra cup of chili on the side (3sp) I used 93% ground turkey and apparently kidney beans with added sugar (finally found some without the sugar which I’ll use next time) ⁣ ⁣ Snack: apple and a soft taco from Taco Bell (6sp) it was leftover from Sunday and I couldn’t resist it. Yesterday I didn’t feel like going to the gym. I had zero motivation but I dragged myself there and Pandora was on point and pushed me through my workout.

New Team Beachbody Coach right here!!!!🙌🏼 I was a coach 3 years ago and I was in THE best shape of my life! However I was extremely busy being a mom, wife, full time RN, and in graduate school for my nurse practitioner. I quit coaching in order to study more and graduate 👩‍🎓 Once I graduated....i quit everything! I became a couch potato 🥔 i started eating unhealthy and I did not exercise. At Christmas time this last year Iwas the heaviest I’ve ever been at 160lbs. My clothes were not fitting and I needed a lifestyle change! I pulled my beachbody videos back out and started making better food choices. I have been losing pounds and inches ever since. Going back into coaching my fire 🔥 been fueled knowing these programs work and that I can help make a difference in other people’s lives! Yesterday was another “Never Miss a Monday” workout!! I did a nice CrossFit WOD. Modified running with a 10 cal assault bike ride other than that everything was RX. Then hit up @newberryyoga for an amazing Flow class! Hit a good tree pose. Truth- - - I’m not excited for every workout!!! Especially if I had fallen asleep while putting kids to bed! 🤷🏽‍♀️ legs and abs. ✅ I wanted to quit after the warm up! 😆 Pushed thru. #transformationtuesday (swipe to see before) Three years ago a woman in Belize put her hand on the unborn child in my belly and asked me, “When are you due?” I wasn’t pregnant. That comment was the motivation I needed to get my unhealthy butt in gear and the moment I got back to the states, I joined a gym. Y’all, I’m not gonna lie it was toughhhh. I had never really worked out before and the first Monday I took a boxing class I was sore until Sunday! But I kept at it and soon I was able to go Mondays AND Thursdays. And then Monday, Thursday, Sunday, and so on. . . Over the course of the past 36 months I have lost 35 pounds of fat and gained 10 pounds of muscle. More importantly than how I look though, is how I feel. I’m so proud of myself for how strong I’ve gotten! I can literally lift HUNDREDS of pounds at a time!! That woman in Belize changed my life. I’m so grateful for my friends and family who have rooted me in along this journey, and couldn’t have done it without @johnsgymatx @otlfitness and @crossfitcharleston. . . I never dreamed I would be someone who felt “off” when she missed a workout but now I wouldn’t have it any other way. Don't feel bad. I did. I had no desire to go to the gym. Thought I'd just "skip today". But I went 😅🙄 of course. But then once I got there I didn't feel like doing anything 🙈. channeling my inner @mindfullymae 💆🏼‍♀️ incorporating yoga/stretching into my day-to-day has done wonders😻 not only am i more flexible and have a greater range of motion while working out, but my sleep has improved like crazy.
