Fruit Loops for post resistance training repair?! . Say what? . I swear it tastes just like it! . Resistance training does 2 things to your body. . 1. It creates micro-trauma tears in your muscles. To get bigger and stronger you have to break down the muscle during training. . To fix this - you need a high quality protein that's been hydrolized (broken down into smaller pieces) whey protein isolate - like a #phormula1. 💢read below💢⤵️. Something I see getting out of hand lately is, people are always trying to find the short cut or the easy way out. DO THE WORK‼️ There's no magic pill or supplement that's gonna make you get your ass out of bed or off the couch to the gym. Or crash dieting going from one extreme to the next! Eating like crap forever then doing zero carb for a month isn't gonna help you!! Start on a balanced nutrition plan! Don't take out essential fats and carbs because you think this is what you need to do to lose weight! Baby steps!!! One of my favorites is, "oh I wake up and I'm so tired" or "after work I just don't have the energy" like, we're all tired‼️We all work and have jobs⁉️I challenge YOU, if you wanna start your journey don't go from one extreme to the next or get discouraged with yourself because it's hard at the beginning! It's supposed to be! That means you're doing it right! Will it get easier? Yes!! Will it be worth it? Absolutely!!!. Workout 4 times a week for 4 weeks! Eat on a balanced nutrition program and then come to me personally and tell me how you feel after 4 weeks‼️ Stop looking for the short cut or the easy way out and making excuses for yourself. Worked in some PT work into the workout this evening. These push-up walks work you serratus, and offer mobility work for your thoracic nerve and honestly make my back and shoulder feel more stabile. The rest was a good old fashioned arm workout featuring some old favs. A lot of people ask me why I don’t do “heavy” lifts. The answer is because I would rather do something a little lighter and with perfect form, than do heavy with only 70 percent of my reps having perfect technique. Trust me I go heavy, but never at the expense of form or stability. Hit the French curls, the laying preacher curls, my “falling down the stairs” mega set for tricep extensions, and over head skull crushers. Not bad for my first time with 600lbs on my back in years! Depth seemed a little shy maybe, but this is the second time since adding squats back into our routine and I'm pretty happy with this as my starting point! Excited to see how much weight I can add to my squat in these next few months. Been a little sick and appetite has been wavering so back down to 238 on wake.
