Before // After I feel like shit. I am lethargic all the time. My body is yelling at me to do more, so I finally listened. This year has been filled with reasons as to why I couldn't work out, some very legitimate, but for the rest of 2018 consistency is my goal! This week is getting moving again after 3wks off and to start meditating again! I think maybe I should get rid of these jeans 😂 I talked about it on my story but just a little update. I’ve been doing really good!!! I’ve been trying to be very ~chill~ in this part of my journey. I’ve just been focusing on health. Just getting in my veggies, less processed food, eating when I’m actually hungry, and not being completely lazy. I have not been to the gym 5/6 times a week like I was before and I do feel guilty about it but I’ve been working on forgiveness for that. If I only go twice a week and my eating is fine and I FEEL good then good!! I’m sure I will going more often soon I just have some changes and stresses in my life (yes going to the gym will help that stress, but I’m not stress eating so I’m ok) I weighed myself this morning for the first time since my big funk and I’m down one pound! Sooooo I really thought I would gain at least 10lbs - it was ALOT of junk food guys. So idk maybe I did and maybe I’ve lost it already ???? Idk haha anyway I know I have not been posting but I am doing good I just don’t know what to post because I don’t have gym selfies and I don’t want to post just to post you know???

Meet @vsg_kingtut_77 I have been battling obesity for the majority of my life until back in 2012 my father passed away due to complications with Diabetes. That was a wake up call for me to get serious about my health not only for my sake but for the sake of my wife and especially sons. For a number of reasons, we all need to stop paying so much attention and hinging our lives on the weight shown on the scale. ❗️❗️❗️❗️THESE PICTURES ARE 2 DAYS APART & 1 POUND! ❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️Here are just a few reasons you shouldn’t use the scale! 1. It Could Be the Biggest Threat to Your Weight Loss Success Just like everything else in your life, your weight goes up and down, even when you’re trying to lose it. But, we place so much emphasis on the number, when it goes up, regardless of the reason, we feel like we’ve failed, like we’ll always be ‘fat’, like we should just quit. There may be no single device that defeats more weight loss programs than the weigh scale – even when those programs were actually producing results. 2. It Might Be Lying to You OK, maybe ‘lying’ is too strong a word, but at very least, your weigh scale can be misleading – and that has nothing to do with its accuracy. Especially if you have a formal exercise program, but even if you’ve simply added more activity to your day, there’s a good chance that, in addition to burning more fat, you’re also building at least some. Muscle tissue is heavier than fat tissue. That means, if you’ve added as much muscle mass as the fat mass you’ve lost, you could weigh more, while actually having lost fat – and inches. 3. It Might be Dangerous to Your Health We are so desperate to see drops in weight on the scale, that we may be tempted to take our weight loss to extremes. You might dream to one day wake up and see that you are 20 lbs lighter than yesterday, but that sort of drop in weight will do more damage to your health than the lower weight could ever overcome. Dinnnnnner! I got to have dinner with my bff @maryxrahimi! I suggested @mcalistersdeli because I knew I would be able to find something WW point friendly there. I didn’t realize that there would be so many tortilla chips that came with the tortilla soup. I told myself I wouldn’t eat all of them but I did 🙈 but I have some extra points from today so I should be okay! I got fruit to help fill me up. Today and yesterday were muchhhh busier days than anticipated 💁🏻‍♀️👩🏻‍⚖️👩🏼‍💼 (I actually snapped this pic in a waiting room after jumping out of my car after leaving an hour long meeting heading to another). I had a few appointments and unexpected meetings; lots of driving and traveling; and I am just... drained. 😱#oldme would’ve been like “well I’m tired I deserve this break” - instead I have kept major promises to myself. Even when my results look 👀 different than usual. . . .✨I’ve gained... weight... but this is bc I have gained muscle and LOST inches. #nsv I had a semi flip out looking at the scale but I KNOW I am smaller because I took measurements (thank GOD); my clothes fit better; and I can see the difference in pictures. Since I’ve kept on my workouts and I know I’m eating well I am trusting the process and not binging or flipping the eff out. #oldme would’ve thrown a self pity fit and obsessed over the scale. . . .✨I worked out this morning and yesterday morning - 5am wakeup ⏱- so that I could go about my day and not feel guilty that whole time that “I skipped and I have to make it up” and now I’m anxious as shit. That didn’t happen Monday and Tuesday. ✨On Friday I got up even earlier and I did my legs workout before going away for the weekend. 🏃🏻‍♀️ If I hadn’t done that I would’ve felt like 💩 the entire weekend or super Sunday guilt. 🤮 . . ✨this weekend I packed my shake and supplies; and today I packed snacks to keep me going. I learned from yesterday when I forgot snacks and I was hungry AF when I got in the door. . . .✨I have embraced my life as a coach and it helps me to help you ❤️💌 reach out to me if I haven’t found you yet - so you can have and learn this #fitandfree life with me 👭👭

Crushing my training this week 👊🏼! Feeling a little watery being up 6lbs from my average but respecting the process. Down 1% bodyfat from last week and up weight.... am I freaking out....nah because GROWTH IS HAPPENING. Hormones are also in play. I’ve said it once and I’ll continue to say it a million times. THE SCALE DOES NOT DETERMINE YOUR SUCCESS!! Yes it is one of the many ways to measure progress but so many will have a ‘bad day’ if it’s the wrong number in the morning. Don’t let it dictate your happiness. You are more than a number and changing your body composition is a PROCESS. A slow one at that. Take your measurements and test body fat. Be kind to yourself and recognize that you are working towards bigger goals than a number. Get up, get active, eat healthy, and be happy. I’m so glad I have pictures from last summer. This is what I look at when I need reminding of why I don’t quit. Going to the gym is hard. Eating well is hard. But I’m doing it. I want a better me: a healthier body. I’m not where I want to be. But at least I left the start line and I’m in the middle of the race!
