We also substituted the butter with vegetable oil and the all-purpose white flour with whole-wheat flour to kick boost the nutritional value ✅ Note that the mixture can be divided to bake 10 muffins as well ✔️ Remember that moderation in key and there's nothing wrong with enjoying a piece of cake every now and then ❗️ The cake is sprinkled with organic raw cocoa nibs from Naturalia @naturaliafoodlb that can be found @mintbasilmarket! NUTRIENT TIMING We already talked about why it matters how much we eat. Now, we would like to explain nutrient timing and why is it important when we eat. Does when you eat matter? What does it matter for? For body composition? For performance? For health? Simply put, nutrient timing is about eating specific nutrients (such as protein or carbs or fats) in specific amounts, at specific times. After years of extensive research, nutrient timing became the next Holy Grail among fitness professionals and has been circulating in the general public ever since. You must have heard of pre- and post-workout meals, things to eat in the morning, things to rather eat in the evening and foods you can basically eat whenever you want. You are also probably either part of the 'Breakfast Club' or often skip breakfast. Is breakfast the most important meal of the day? Is skipping breakfast the solution to all your issues? Should you eat your carbs in the morning or in the evening? Ultimately, what matters most is that you become more aware of your total intake and your daily routine, your schedule. Early birds and night owls will have very different schedules and therefore will benefit more from a different meal and nutrient timing. We are not suggesting nutrient timing is worthless. In certain situations, it can have a very defining role. Nutrient timing can be helpful BUT it can add layers of unnecessary complexity to one's life as well. Many people are focusing too much on nutrient timing, while consistently missing out on much more crucial and fundamental factors of a healthier lifestyle. We want you to prioritize 1. sleep, 2. water intake, 3. food quality and 4. food quantity before you start thinking of nutrient and meal timing.

Muscles...the truth! There are many common misconceptions about building and maintaining muscle, toning etc. . . This first picture is me flexing and to some I may look ‘buff or masculine’, but swipe and you see also me, a couple seconds between the photos. It’s important to note: ✅ naturally women will not become bulky and masculine as a result of weight training, our testosterone levels are too low and it’s actually impossible without enhancements. ✅ you need to be eating good quality dietary protein (meat and fish are good sources) everyday. You should try to consume 20-30g protein with each meal. ✅ athletes competing should supplement with 30g whey protein post workout for better results. ✅ creatine does not work instantly and needs to be consumed consistently over a period of time to see results. Alternatively you can take higher doses to start and get a kickstart but be careful of tummy issues. ✅ muscle growth and definition is a long term process, you need patience to see results and need to be consistent with your training. ✅ cardio will not give you toned muscles...weight/ resistance training is key ✅ varied training eg high rep, low rep, supersets, progressive overload etc is what is required to see growth. Friday! Come onnnnn! And another bank holiday weekend, can’t wait for three days off 😃 Feel so chilled at the moment and like things are finally slotting into place...it’s a good feeling. Today was shoulders and back... This meant a whole lot of lateral raises, front raises, shoulder pressing, heavy for me i may add ☝🏼😊. My back tends to be quiet lean anyway, so I only spend around 20-25 mins on my back twice a week. Lateral push downs, seated row, pull downs using the rope...these were completed to failure. 🔥 I’m not trying to build my body up I am just letting my body change how it naturally wants to...we are all different. Not trying to get thick, slim or super muscular....just toned and healthy! Changed things up this week! — If you follow my stories, you know that I’ve been feeling the most productive with a super early morning routine. I’m not naturally a morning person, but it’s been something I’ve been doing my best to commit to, especially to make sure I get my “me” time/workout in before the day flies by! It’s made a huge difference with my productivity. But this week, I felt like I needed that extra time in the morning to rest, let my body truly restore. It’s been a big week+ with lots of fun gatherings, travels, & celebrations. I was starting to feel a difference in my body too, like a workout in the morning wouldn’t necessarily be beneficial. TBH, i think my adrenals we’re taking a hit! Soooo I listened, gave myself some grace on breaking that productive morning routine, rested, & scheduled time in my day to make sure I would still have that “me” time! I also set myself a run goal for this week, which always makes it fun to have something to work towards! 😉 moral of the story, listen to your body + but prioritize you, put it on your calendar! — Now a question for you: morning, midday, or evening workout?!
