Everyone outside there is talking about clean eating, 6 meals, fit lifestyle, and how to stay healthy. Unlike all other influencer they themselve don’t do what they promote or ask people to do. Posting about my failure here: Did not thought of making this post before I faced health issues. Giving nutrition advice, working all day, going to gym.... wasn’t able to follow a great routine since a week. Eating inappropriate and unhealthy meals, skipping dinner, not having enough food... resulted to health issues 😐 Fell sick as my body is no longer accepting toxic foods and bad lifestyle. Trying to heal sooner as possible and get back on track with a bang 💪 I hope everyone who is facing such issues knows what to do next. And get thier health on right path. Did you know children from 1 year old onwards have iron requirements similar to adults!? Iron is really important for cognitive function, mental alertness, mood regulation, energy and skin, hair and nail growth to name a few. Some children may not like to eat much red meat or even go through patches of “fussy eating”, so here are a few ways to boost iron intake throughout the day. These can be added to smoothies with banana and milk as a base, or eaten on their own: - dried apricots - chickpeas - spinach - kale - black molasses - nuts and seeds (e.g pumpkin seeds and cashews) Also, iron absorption is enhanced when you pair it with vitamin c rich foods such as berries, spinach, oranges, parsley, kiwi fruit or capsicum. SMOOTHIE RECIPE - 1/2 banana - 1/4 cup spinach - 1/4 cup oats - 3 dried apricots - 1 tbs chickpeas - 1 tbs pumpkin seeds - 3 strawberries Mix with milk or water :)

<<LECTURE TIME>> a great morning lecturing at TAFE Queensland for the Diploma of Fitness students. We spoke about: ➡️ Food Label Reading: the basics of how to read a food label so that they can show their clients not to be scared of foods. For example: the 'sugar' content on a label doesn't just mean added table sugar, but is also a measurement of lactose (natural sugar in milk) and also fructose (natural sugar in fruit) and that the World Health Organisation even states that we do not need to avoid the natural sugars in dairy products nor fruit as there is no evidence to support the need for doing so. In other words, no studies have shown that lactose from dairy or fructose from fruit cause 'obesity' or other chronic diseases such as Type 2 Diabetes or heart disease. In fact, there are many studies that show people who do actually eat these foods in the recommended amount have a reduced risk of developing these conditions! So, the 'sugar' column on the nutrition panel on a food label, is rubbish and shouldn't be used when you are shopping and trying to look for a healthy choice. If you are only reading the 'sugar' measure, and seeing it has lots of sugar, you could be avoiding a perfectly good food for no reason. You tell if the product has sugar in it by looking at the ingredients list and seeing if it's listed as an ingredient. We spoke about the fact that despite popular belief, raw sugar is not 'healthier' than white table sugar. They're just the same, because raw or brown sugar don't contain more nutrients than white sugar and they aren't a better option because they are less processed. The processing part of sugar doesn't add anything nasty back in or take anything good out. It just affects the colour, and flavour. So even though raw sugar is unprocessed, it's just a sugar. So just choose the sugar you want to have because they're all the same. And that was just one of the many topics we covered! Thanks to this small bunch of students who had some wonderful questions that showed critical thinking and an eagerness to truly learn.

I used to be "chubby", I used to be "lean", I used to have a lot of muscle mass, striations and vascularity. What I wanted for my body, my mind, myself, and my surroundings has changed many many times. Growth and change are inevitable to me, or else seriously why are we here and what are we doing? 🤔 . . Not that long ago, to feel better about myself, I seeked external validation. Of course I built self discipline and many other valuable habits that help me today. But for the most part, my *self-worth* came from a lot of outside sources: how I looked, how I fit the perception of health and beauty, what people thought of me etc. I've seen my body in its "best" shape (according to what standard, exactly?) which honestly at times magnified my insecurities. This just exasperated my natural people pleasing, and a disconnect within myself and my truth😵. I've mentioned this before but I was unenthusiastic about my social media use. My industry is plagued with unqualified people selling dumb supplements or passing advice that are half truths or complete lies. Like most of us, I fell for the comparisons and eventually exhausted myself to not care at all🤯. . . . The *truth* is the young girl in this pic couldn't do half of what I can do now! BOOM😝. Not mentally or physically. Will I lean out again in the future? Yep, not like this though as my goals are totally different (🥊). Does any of this define me as a person? Absolutley fucking not ✋. What defines me? To me, my integrity and authenticity and the impact I make while I'm alive. . . . Take home message: it is cool to be and want something, and then not be or want it anymore. Change is inevitable, growth is optional. 👊 . . . I want you to know you're enough.
