*GROCERY HAUL* Happy Sunday! ✨ Today is day 14 of my Whole30! 🙌🏽 My grocery haul for this coming week is a little smaller than usual. I have some meat leftover in the freezer and produce that I haven’t used in the fridge. Of course, my haul is loaded with all the usual stuff and items that I needed to restock. I’m excited because this week I decided to purchase some @mulayssausage chorizo! I honestly haven’t had chorizo in forever, so I bought a Whole30 compliant chorizo and can’t wait to have some!🤤 I’ve been eyeing this @brubroth bone broth for a while and finally decided to purchase it today (it’s Whole30 compliant)! It’s been chilly these past couple of days, so this bone broth will be perfect!☕️ Y’all know I love @gtskombucha! Portion control is the key to seeing success! 🔑 For the past week I have been following my super easy meal plan and getting my 20 minute workout in everyday! So far I am down 4lbs. 🤩 Today’s meal prep consisted of Honey garlic chicken made in the #instantpot, shredded Brussels sprouts with bacon, and brown rice. It took me about 15 minutes to prep everything and cook it! Before i had my miscarriage in November, our 3 year old was told not to jump on me or climb onto my stomach (as he always loved doing just that). After the miscarriage he then got the idea (with time) that there no longer was a little person growing inside of me and so he is back onto my belly. He didnt fully grasp the baby "growing" in there concept... Recently we were watching something on TV and in it was a pregnant woman having a sonar. He was quite fascinated at her big belly and asked quite a few questions abt the pregnant belly size. One of them was "her tummy is so big, did she eat too much junk food?" I gotta say that my husband and i just looked at eachother open mouthed. We have NEVER in our home made any associations of body size in relation to food. We never use the word fat to describe someone. We never tell the boys that they will get fat if they eat too much or the "wrong" thing. I am especially careful with the language i use in speaking to our boys wen it comes to their body images and my own. Tho our son never said the word fat, he had made an association with her size and food. This brings me to the reality that our kids WILL hear, see and experience the world and other peoples views. They WILL carry with them opinions and words and emotions which others leave behind. So wot is YOUR role? Your role is to raise them to never judge, to never use words which hurt, r toxic or cause people embarrassment. How do u do that? By LIVING it and being the example. U are NOT defined by that word fat. For all of u, female AND male who have been hurt by the utterance of those words and by the imprint its left behind on your soul...i ask u to let it go. Love yourself first and love the body u in. Sending u all lots of love 💖 light💡 and prayers 🤲

Day 20 Sunday night dinner - Massive jacket spud with chilli 😍😍. Not had any snacks today so I can have a higher calorie dinner for a change (there’s also some @eatlean cheese under there of course). Spent the afternoon meal prepping a stew, a stir fry, a spag Bol, a low carb turkey lasagne, pizza topped chicken and then I made chilli and jackets for tea. The only way for me to stay on track all week is to make sure I have food ready to eat because I don’t have time to cook in the evening after the gym. Instead of fresh spinach I used tinned. I drained well then squeezed out all the excess water. I only used 1/2 of the tin in the recipe too as the she tin seemed too much. I also used dried herbs and spices as apposed to fresh ones. For the method, I fried the mushrooms in three sprays of frylight until starting to go crispy on the outside (this is just how I like them! I like them to have lots of colour.) I then added the herbs, spices and juice from the tin of tomatoes and simmered for a few minutes before adding the tomatoes, spinach and miso paste. I simmered again for a few minutes until the sauce had thickened. It literally took no more than ten minutes to cook. The cold weather this time of year makes me crave #chestnuts. Not only are they yummy but they are a powerhouse of various nutrients such as manganese which is important for the normal functioning of our brain, enzymes and nervous system. They also have potassium which is essential for muscle contraction, especially heart muscle, blood pressure and pH balance. They are a source of B vitamins which are important for energy production and metabolism. In addition to that they provide us with Vitamin C which is important for immunity this winter. #nadineshealthtips

~✨Chicken and chips ✨~ New recipe, sort of... This may not be the prettiest picture, but you know how deceptive appearances can be. Having been (and continuing to be) ridiculously distracted by moving the contents of a house and unpacking boxes, simple dishes like this have been a total life saver. . . • Put your chicken thighs in a large roasting tray. TIP: make sure the tray is big enough for all your ingredients so the air can circulate and roast the food, otherwise it will stew and the potatoes will go soggy. • Add aromatic ingredients for flavour (I used whole garlic, lemon, rosemary and thyme). • Slice your potatoes into thick slices about 1cm to 1.5cm thick. TIP: ideally cut these as uniformly as possible so they cook evenly. • Season well and drizzle with olive or coconut oil or soy with butter, and toss everything around so the flavours are mixed and coated with oil/butter and seasoning. Settle everything so it’s evenly spaced in the tray. • Bung it in an oven heated to about 190C for about 40-45 minutes. . . This is so easy and straightforward. Good Afternoon my #foodies ! . So, who’s ready for the QUICKEST #weeknightdinner recipe ? These are my Asian Meatballs which are so simple to make,sooooo delicious and so versatile. I LOVE recipes that you can serve several different ways. You can eat them as they are with some greens or on top of some hot steamed rice or noodles or you can pop them into your #bonebroth with some #asianmushrooms for the most deeeeeelicious soup. Or or or you can even use this mixture to fill inside wonton wrappers and make dumplings .... Ok, I’m getting myself excited about this 😂😂😂 . ASIAN GINGER AND SESAME MEATBALLS INGREDIENTS: 500G - Ground Meat (use pork, chicken, turkey) 4cm piece of Fresh Ginger - Ground / Minced 1 Clove Garlic - Minced 1 Large (or two small) Stalk Celery - chopped very finely 2 Tablespoons - Sesame oil 1 Tablespoon - Avocado Oil 1 Stem of Spring Onion - chopped very finely 1 1/2 Teaspoon - Salt METHOD: 1.Preheat oven to 400F. 2.Mix all the above ingredients together in a bowl except for the sesame and avocado oil. 3.Roll the meatballs. 4.Pour the oils into a tray and heat the tray for 5 minutes. 5.Add the meatballs to the hot oil and oven bake on the high heat for just 10 minutes. 6.They should be golden brown on the outside and tender and juicy inside (but fully cooked of course) 7.Serve with steamed rice and vegetables. 8.For the dipping sauce - mix soy sauce (or coconut amigos) with toasted sesame oil, a drizzle of honey, sesame seeds, some chopped green onion and chopped coriander. 9.
