A buttload of things can influence it daily & weekly... ⠀ 🌡 Hormones 💁 Your cycle 🤢 If you're sick 💊 Supplements 💦 Hydration levels 😷 Food intolerances 🏋️‍♀️ Soreness from your workout 🥘 Food content still in your belly 💩 Whether or not you’ve poo-pooed 🍕 A higher/lower salt intake than normal ⠀ A lot can influence your weight on a short-term, day-to-day basis... but you know what you don't see on that list? ⠀ —> FAT LOSS ❌🙅‍♂️ ⠀ Noticeable fat loss doesn't happen in a day. It happens over multiple weeks and months 📆 ——————— Weight loss & fat loss are related, but they are NOT the same thing. ⠀ Once you realize that☝️, you can start taking steps that'll put the power of the scale back in YOUR hands. ⠀ One way is by taking measurements. Today’s high stress environment mixed with long duration long term low carb, low calorie dieting mixed with high volume amounts of cardio and training the body only interprets this as stress on stress. Large volume stress and cateacholamine volumes on the body for long periods of time with create problems in at least 1 in 4. Where stress hormone through the dhea pathway of stress increases androgens to highs causing hyper androgenism, hyper insulinemia, estrogen dominance, pcos, dysglycemia, and it can lead to autoimmune disorders like ibd, hashimotos, and the like, and in many studies dieting to long and to agressively dramatically increased leptin “leptin resistance,” and high volumes of IGF-1. Insulin growth factor. Which is good in males. Not good in females who are overweight and who need to lose weight. In Stephanie’s case hyper androgenism cause a stall to her weight loss. It raised aldosterone and made her very swollen. She became hypothyroid and very very tired. Going through medical school her stress was high and memory and brain fog were getting worse. The final blow was gut issues. The swelling and bloating was uncomfortable and painful. The medications to stabilize her system (thyroid meds and metformin). Just made her feel worse and her wait was still stuck. When she came in she did so with an open mind, she tried to learn instead of fight what we asked her to do. Much of it seemed controversial compared to what she had learned but like a soldier she pushed on anyway. She’s not always perfect. Life gets in the way but she gets better at her process day by day. I’m very happy for this client in particular. She had a heart of gold. She earned these results and were not done yet! #createimpact

🍑Guys, don’t be scared 😱 there’s a man on the butt machine! - Most men shy away from this machine and fairly so... they’re embarrassed because 99% of the time it’s a 20-30 year old girl trying to tighten up her booty and a 6 foot man walking up using the machine after her would just be an embarrassing sight, right? - Wrong! - This machine helped me come back from my knee surgery believe it or not bc it built up my glute muscles which were critical in recovering 100% and being able to sprint on the football field. 🏃🏻 - Now, I use this machine to keep my glutes active because like most of us, I sit a lot and I don’t want my glutes to be inactive or pains and injuries start coming, ie. Turkish Get Up🦃 - 🤼‍♀️According to the google machine, TGU were used by ancient wrestlers before competition and a single 100lb get up was a benchmark for anyone that wished to learn to wrestle from them. - 🗿I personally enjoy these for the complexity of the movement, which incorporates every joint in the body. At any given time there is: - 👉🏼Shoulder stability/mobility 👉🏼Hip stability/mobility 👉🏼Core strength 👉🏼Contralateral involvement 👉🏼Triplanar movement 👉🏼A cardiovascular component 👉🏼Motor learning - 🗣The video is part of my warmup, 2 of each side with a dumbbell. Why do we have room for these sweet treats? . Enter Palate Fatigue - most foods especially vegetables have a defense mechanism that prevents them by being eaten in large quantities or at all by most animals . Example: koalas 🐨 can only eat eucalyptus Example: humans can only eat so much lettuce 🥬 and broccoli 🥦 before we get sick of it . Same with proteins and all other foods. At some point our body will get tired of consuming so much and also causes us to be full . What does this all mean? . Although we may get full from eating our steak, potatoes and broccoli for dinner (savory, salty foods) our body can make room to ingest those sweet treats because its an opposing taste = overeating . Sometimes what we learn and who we become in the process of waiting is even more important than what we're waiting for. If you think about it, I'd say about 2% of life (probably less) are those "big moments" that we work toward. Maybe it's buying your first car, winning a championship, earning a degree, starting a business, breaking a world record, or becoming an IFBB Pro, etc. What we don't realize is that those exact moments don't define who we are. The moments that define us are what I call the "in-betweens." When you fall in love with the in-between moments where nothing extra exciting seems to be happening... THAT is when you are shaped and molded into the person you are and will become. Every single moment is so precious. Even those minutes and hours that are boring or anti-climactic. Embrace those times. They matter. Appreciate every single person who play a positive role in your life. (And a negative role, for that matter)...These moments are here today and gone tomorrow. NO ➡️I’m not talking about eating mega low calorie “1,200 calories a day” or doing hours of cardio a week 🏃🏼‍♀️ what I am talking about is committing to a routine . . Rather that be tracking macros, hitting your daily steps, weight lifting and getting enough sleep 💤 . . Hate to tell you this but nothing works unless you do! . Okay so you’re ready to work let me ask you one question though 🤔 . . Are you wanting to lose fat and gain muscle? . You must lift and lift heavy and actually eat towards your goals . BINGO ➡️that’s why you are not progressing . When you are resistance training you need to challenge yourself to change. Yes ladies it’s okay to grab the 30lb DBs and not 5s 🤷🏼‍♀️ you’re stronger than you think. The weight won’t make you bulky too. Remember muscle takes time to build. Now you want some lean muscle? You gotta EAT 🥗 make sure you are consuming or you’ll be losing ➡️”muscle especially if you are doing high amounts of cardio” . . Eat ladies! I don’t recommend dieting if you are currently consuming less than 1,400 calories too! You must reverse diet. Unless you want to kiss your metabolism goodbye 😘 . . Do you like to read self-help books, or professional and personal development books? I always think I do, but to be honest I usually lose interest and don’t finish. The number of bookmarks I have in books like these is amazingly high. OK, I always finish fiction books in record time. Why? Because the storytelling aspect is usually much higher than in non-fiction. However, I just read this book, FINISH, finished it, and recommend it to you if you ever: -Get stuck on a project and can’t seem to move forward -Start too many new projects and can’t prioritize them -Start something and lose interest but don’t know why -Get past the beginning and question why you even started it -Decide what you started is too hard or not achievable Jon Acuff wrote this short but powerful, fabulous book. I read it in two sittings, you could finish in one if you want to. I also listened to an interview with Jon done by @AmyPorterfield on her podcast “Online Marketing Made Easy” (episode #228). The podcast made me find the book and it reinforced the message. I find it somewhat humorous that I actually finished reading “Finish.” Let me know what you think when you read it! It has already changed my perspective on several things.
