How do you store your ornaments? Thinking, you should not worry until your re-packing... Always remember to be prepared! #tips If you have the original boxes, keep them for storage If you don’t have the original boxes or if the ornaments didn’t come in boxes, use old Tupperware (use whichever size fits), wrap ornaments and store them You know all the empty boxes in the basement that people keep for “just in case” and “some day”? Boxes like vacuum cleaner, microwave are all good ones to use (as they are all a decent size, rectangular shaped boxes) Keep these ideas for when your ready to take the tree down! #internationalday of #people with #disabilities:Hundred Thousands Poets for Change #organizes #poetry #recitation Session on the theme of Disability in #collaboration with University #hobbiesworkshop, CEC, AMU In a unique venture to celebrate this year’s International Day of People with Disabilities, Hundred Thousands Poets for Change organized the Poetry Recitation Session on the theme of Disability in collaboration with Hobbies Club, CEC, AMU on 29 November 2017 in CEC open place. It was the open call for AMU and other students to recite their self-composed poems on the theme of Disability in #english, Urdu and Hindi. Many students recited their poems with great enthusiasm and awareness about the disabled people and their needs. The event began with the welcome address by Ms. Alisha Ibkar, AssistantProfessor, Department of English and in charge of Hundred Thousands Poets for Change Aligarh chapter. Mr. Boopathi P, #assistantprofessor, Department of English, delivered a talk on the Disability Literature and provided the context for holding the poetry recitation session. In his talk, Mr. Boopathi elucidated how the literature portrayed the disabled people in negative manor as people who suffer from tragic life, having divine retribution, or people possessing extraordinary abilities. He said that these false assumptions have been counter-challenged with the literature by the disabled. He further explained how poetry remains to be the powerful medium of expression and significant site of change in the history. He concluded by saying the event is a historic one, as it involves the non-disabled people to express their views on disability through poetry. The poetry recitation began with Ms. Alisha Ibkar reading four poems by disabled poets. More than 30 students, scholars and faculty members recited their self-composed poems on disability. The poems had profound connotations and empathetic tones towards the treatment of disabled people.Prof. Samina Khan and Dr. Aysha Munira Rasheed from the Department of English also read out their poems. Dr. Siddhartha Chakraborti, AssistantProfessor, Department of English and the President of....
