We over desire alcohol because we have trained our brains to seek it and then we respond to that call by drinking. Our over desire for it increases over time because we are constantly rewarding ourselves every time we have that urge to drink. It doesn't matter if you are celebrating with alcohol or drinking to feel better. Every time you have an urge to drink and you drink you are making that desire stronger and stronger. That's why most of us are now struggling as we get older. That desire is now to a point that we feel we don't have control over it and no matter what we do, we think we are failing when it comes to reducing how much we drink. The GOOD NEWS is that nothing has gone wrong here. Our brains are functioning EXACTLY how they are supposed to. We just need to unwire that desire. We need to decondition our brains to not seek it and to not over desire it. This is what I teach and coach you to do. It's amazing because it all comes down to the thoughts in our head and our willingness to FEEL our emotions. You can have a life free of hangovers, puffiness, lost sleep, overeating because you drank too much, regret, and all the rest of the grief that over-drinking causes. Many people attempt to use WILLPOWER to break or create their poor eating habits. Unfortunately, WILLPOWER JUST DOES NOT WORK! 😬 There is only a limited supply before this power runs out. It’s like taking a big beach ball and pushing it under the water. You can only hold on for so long before it pops back up to the surface. Same goes for willpower, you can only resist for so long, before you give out and give in. Willpower is only temporary, not to mention it’s pretty miserable 😩 The solution to overeating is to eliminate overhunger and overdesire once and for all. (Did I just blow your mind?🤯) What if instead of having to resist the food, you no longer even wanted the food? How cool would that be?
