Holy Moly Legs are Guacamole.... That, of course, means they are fat...but don't worry, it is the healthy kind 😎🤣😉 All I can say was this session was almost a puke session today... But I will stick to my guns (all puns intended) and say that great legs are built from 3 things; 1.) HARD F'ing work 2.) Skwaats!!! 3.) Lunges Today's session looked like this; (for those who wanna give it a shot!) 1.) Seated Ham curls supersetted with leg extensions: 3 working sets of 12-15 on the leg extensions and 20 on the curls (ps the last set was done as a rest pause set for each to really blow them up) 2.) Safery bar squats: 4x8-12 3.) Leg Press: 4x12-15 4.) Barbell Lunges: 4x10/leg 5.) Standing calf raises: 3x12 (last set done as a rest pause for 12-8-4 reps) 6.) Eat... Do you feel like your groin/adductors get tight when you try to get into a sumo deadlift stance or a deep squat? Here are some tips that may help! Be sure to include rolling out your adductors (inside of your thigh) during your foam roll routine, as this area is often neglected. You’ll want to hit them in a straight leg position as well as a bent knee position. If you want to get even deeper, you can try propping up onto a kettlebell handle, parallette bar, or elevated barbell and really smash into your adductors! Afterwards, try a 5-8 reps of a few adductor stretches/mobility drills. Some of our favorites for the short adductor muscles include half kneeling adductor dips (to the side) and frog stretches. For the long adductor muscles, we like to do a half kneeling adductor mobility drill rocking backwards and lateral squats. There are hundreds of other stretches and drills out there, so it’s important to test your mobility, try a drill or two out, then re-test to see if there is any improvement. If there is, keep that drill in your routine for a while, if there is no improvement you can probably keep that drill out for now.

Walking into the weekend like 🙌 . I have pizza every Friday night. It’s been a tradition for probably 4 years or more. I studied abroad in Italy in college so, naturally, pizza is one of my favorite foods. And let’s be honest, not that greasy, super cheesy, garlicky kind. Real pizza. Italian style pizza. Artisan pizza, if you will. Thin crust. Full of olive oil. And real tomatoes and cheese and YUM 😋 . Friday’s are my favorite for a lot of reasons but this one most definitely tops the list. 🍕 .
