Why did I get Milo to do an isolating lat move? (Pull down) when the day was to focus on deadlifts The lats are an important part of the motion. They hold the bar to the body along with keeping the back in position. On our first session of the month this is what I worked on with Milo as he struggled to keep a flat back through the deadlift. On that session he managed to maintain a straight back! . Now 3 sessions later we have increased his weight on the deadlifts and still maintaining form! . Lots of pushing today. Started with banded bench working up to 80% 1 RM, and using 3 different grips per set. @jol_md just made my freaking day! This right here is what makes my job the best! This dude started out struggling with 30lb dumbbell chest press and recently threw up some 110s for 6-8 reps.
