I’ve seen this posted on social media a few times now and I’ve put off commenting about it but I can’t stop thinking about it. I took offence to it because I am that person ...I am that girl who has been a size 20 and is now a 10, the girl who avoided going out in fear everyone would laugh at how fat she was, the girl who has gone out in one outfit and called at the shops on the way to buy something else cause she felt too fat, the girl who stood at the back of a class and didn’t speak to anyone in fear they’d think she was too fat to be there, the girl who’s maternity leave was tarnished because of PND and embarrassment that she’d got so fat during her pregnancy, the girl who wouldn’t eat a bit of chewy because it had kcals in it BUT I am also that girl who gets up at 5.30am to go for a run, that girl who’s educated herself in nutrition and diets, that girl who’s worked her ass off to complete level 3 PT diploma while working and running a house, that girl who’s set up her own business, that girl who spends her spare time getting other people fit and healthy as well as keeping her own training on point, that girl who wears a size 10 with pride, that girl who is now at the front of the class not because she feels she should be there she’s just got the confidence todo so and couldn’t give a toss if Barry gets her arse in his face during a burpee, at least she’s doing a burpee which is more than can be said for people who post shit like this! I post about my achievements not for the comments and likes although they are nice but to encourage people to do the same! Get up and move and get healthy! So next time you see a ‘funny’ meme think before re posting it...you could just knock that one person who’s wanting to change a 1000 steps backwards!
