10 km!!!!! I did it! Thought I was going to hold out until next weekend for the @mec race but I just went for it. There were some pretty massive hills on this run too. @streetparking workouts leave me like... It’s been a rough week guys. I’ve been getting about 4 hours of sleep a night and then trying to be a functioning adult at work and it sucks. I’m not one of those lucky people that can thrive off 4-5 hours of sleep.. I’m more of a 8-9 hours and a venti coffee gal. At this age Nora was sleeping around 10 hours straight and man was I spoiled. I digress... anyway I got out to the garage tonight after putting the kids to bed and knocked it out. Right now I’m lucky to get 2 workouts in a week as there are other things that are just higher priorities sometimes (some sane amount of sleep being one of them). Another rewarding week! I am fortunate enough to encounter so many wonderful individuals in my daily physical therapy practice. I am honored to be part of their healing journeys. A few of this week's success stories... A female now able walk, exercise and perform household activities, after a complicated, painful hysterectomy. A female with public symphysis separation during pregnancy now able to walk, turn in bed and put on her shoes without terrible pain. A female post partum no longer leaking urine when she bends, laughs and even runs!!! {Oops} - Going to be honest, if I don’t plan my meals out the night before, I scramble to get all my macros met for the day. Had to get this in because I didn’t figure out how the day was going to go earlier. At least I made it before the fasting starts though. Here’s another thing I’ve been learning over the past couple weeks...there’s room for grace. And don’t we all need some of that especially when we are trying to make small steps towards improvement? We make mistakes, we fix it next time. Progress not perfection.
