More walking, more sights— coming to you live from a beer garden with free WiFi. Pic 1: Franz Kafka memorial. 2: Amazing painting in old town square that catches my eye every time I go by. 3-8: St Agnes Convent & grounds which had some amazing sculptures. 9: Beautiful building I noticed on last night’s ghost tour and came back to photograph today. 10: the smallest house in Prague. . . . . #womenwhotravel #womenwhowander #prague #czechrepublic #solotravel #praguebyfoot #pragueforfree #stagnes #oldtownsquare #kafka #travelgram #instatravel

The streets of Prague were a fantasia scarcely touched by the twenty-first century—or the twentieth or nineteenth, for that matter. It was a city of alchemists and dreamers, its medieval cobbles once trod by golems, mystics, invading armies. Tall houses glowed goldenrod and carmine and eggshell blue, embellished with Rococo plasterwork and capped in roofs of uniform red. Baroque cupolas were the soft green of antique copper, and Gothic steeples stood ready to impale fallen angels. The wind carried the memory of magic, revolution, violins, and the cobbled lanes meandered like creeks. Thugs wore Motzart wigs and pushed chamber music on street corners, and marionettes hung in windows, making the whole city seem like a theater with unseen puppeteers crouched behind velvet.

Prague blog part 2 continues ! Prague castle : architecture from Roman to gothic era and 20 th century ! We did this as a 2 hr walking tour, which was very informative. Definitely see the cathedral there and take a trip to golden lane with cute houses and Franz Kafka's house. St Vitus cathedral, Roman Catholic cathedral, resting place of several saints including St vitus and Wenceslas. Astronomical clock : Medieval time piece on the facade of city wall displaying the 12 apostles as the clock strikes ! Be there on the hour to watch the live action 😊! It features the current time, year, month, sun and moon location and much more ! Old town square and Town hall : it is in the town centre with a 5 building complex. The town centre is the hub of all evening activities and recommended for evening dinners. Church of mother of God before tyn a gothic church in the old town Prague, an imposing structure in Prague skyline. Petrin tower : 378 meter cast iron tower, Prague's Eiffel Tower. Take a funicular train from ujezd tramway to reach the tower. Wenceslas square : 14 th century square with shops and restaurant.
