💫FEELING DOWN💫 . the other day in a gym class I started feeling really negative about myself and really self conscious . the only thing that convinced me to stay in the class was this thought: you may be feeling bad about yourself now, but unless you keep working at it, nothing will change. . I want to become the best version of myself (both physically and mentally) and to do so I need to persevere and keep going . keep pushing yourself folks, the only way to better yourself is to work hard and push yourself 💖

Do you ever get the chance to sit down and reflect on your life? What fills your days? Are you happy with the decisions that you made today and why did you make those choices? _ I’ve thought about these questions often and I’m usually disappointed with my answers. Over the past 6 weeks, however, I’ve been pretty happy with my progress and persistence. _ Life is a lot different these days compared to 5 months ago. It’s different than 5 weeks ago and even 5 days ago. _ These little feet are my why. They are the reason I wake up early and I rarely feel rested. They are also the reason I’m working hard to get my workout in everyday and make healthy choices when it comes to nourishing my body. _ I’m doing this so not only can I hopefully live a long and healthy life but I want these activities to be a part of her life as well. I want them to be second nature to her so she doesn’t have to stress, obsess and feel guilty about food. _ I’m fortunate to have an amazing support system and I thank all of you for being a part of my journey. Ever heard of Setting Intentions?? ♡ ♡ Setting of intentions is a way to bring your heart and mind into alignment. It is basically bringing attention and awareness to something you would like to cultivate into your life. It is like a manifestation or what most of us Christians call “Speaking into Existence”. You are speaking into existence what you want God or the universe to do in your life. This isn't based on someone else's opinion, intention or expectation of you. This is solely on YOU and what YOU WANT! ♡ ♡ SO story time. I've always wanted to travel. It started as a middle school kid. I watched documentaries about this certain place😏(any guesses?) and was hooked. Drove my family crazy try to convince them to take me there lol. I later read many books about it and knew I absolutely had to go. ♡ ♡ Fast forward to about a three years ago. I got tired of settling and decided that I would start setting intentions for my life. Manifesting into this world what I DEMANDED back. Traveling was one of my top 3. I didn't know how these things would come to fruition, but I knew it was possible with God. So every week I would set an intention in order to get closer to my goals. And when I met that one, I would set another. Then another. And so on. ♡ ♡ As of right now, the ladies of Alignment are heading to…. and we couldn't be anymore happier!!! Manifestation. ♡ ♡ The point of this is patience and having the right mindset. You have to be determined enough to be persistent, find patience within and trust the process however long it may be. My manifestation started as a kid, yet it developed as an adult. It took years for this intention to manifest, but does it lessen the happiness that's being felt right now!? Never. ♡ ♡ So start today! Set you intention. Start small and elevate. And no matter what obstacles or path you may encounter be patient, persistent and trust the process. With determination, hard work and the right mindset it will all manifest itself in due time!😊 ♡ ♡ So what intention will you be setting today!? Let’s talk confidence in the gym... we’ve all been a newbie in the weights section and it can be hard if the gym is super busy or if you’re surrounded by guys with monster muscles. It’s not uncommon to feel a lil intimidated! So here’s a couple of tips for you 🙆🏽‍♀️ . 🌟 Remember why you’re in the gym in the first place and how pushing yourself out of your comfort zone will help you achieve your goals 🌟 Listen to music!! Get some banging tunes on and strut into that gym 💁🏽‍♀️ I find music helps me get into my own little bubble and forget about anyone else! 🌟 Go with a friend.. you can figure things out together, watch each other’s technique, set up exercises together (we all know hip thrusts are a pain to set up lol). If you don’t have a friend to go with then try strike up conversation with another gal in there, you never know they might become your new gym buddy and bestie! 🌟Try go at quieter times! Often early in the morning or late at night but it depends on the gym. You’ll be able to get your head round a machine without feeling pressured and try different pieces of equipment if they’re free. 🌟 And finally remember that everyone else is there to work on their own goals so they’re probably not paying what you do any attention anyway! . Hey, hi how ya doin! Ever find yourself doing the same things all the time in the gym?🙋🏽‍♀️ Same! Ever try something different and it makes that workout more fun and exciting? I posted the video of some of what we did for our workout on Sunday. Yesterday I was so sore it hurt to breath or literally do anything!!! (I’m not joking maybe dramatic but ya I was that sore) Still am but it’s wearing off! I gave myself yesterday to rest and stretch through the soreness and today I’m ready to go kill another workout! Moral of my story is... sometimes you’ve got to switch things up! If you lift weights always, try incorporating some body weight exercises. If you only do body weight, throw in some light weights to add to your workout. If you workout a specific muscle group try adding in a full body day once in awhile. You get the point! Spice things up, I’m sure you’ll notice results (depending on what your focus is) I have a love hate when I add in full body days because I’m always so sore after but also realize that my body needs the change to get results! Anywhooo! Go grab a workout buddy and put yourselves through a different workout than your norm! Or go try a group fitness class whatever floats your boat. Just take a step out of your comfort zone, who knows maybe you’ll love it🤷🏽‍♀️

Today’s PB. Low bar squat. 90kg for 8. Under the watchful eye of @nathaniel_12 I’m sure people who know about these things will watch this and see loads of things I need to improve on but for me I just love hitting new milestones and giving myself new goals. Something that is also absolutely MASSIVE for me at the moment is I have no idea how much I weigh. Previously the only time I’ve celebrated my body and felt good about myself is when I’ve lost weight, but slowly I’m learning to celebrate things my body is achieving rather than just what the scales say. Our bodies are marvellous and wonderful and they can do incredible things, from growing humans to running marathons to lifting really heavy things, to just keeping us ALIVE everyday and we are brainwashed into putting so much emphasis on just what they look like and what they weigh, not on what they can ACTUALLY do. It’s actually quite nice sometimes. 😀 But recently, I’ve noticed that when I push myself to be open to new things, new people, new ideas, new experiences that’s where the MAGIC happens!!! 🎩 It’s also where I feel the most uncomfortable but it’s totally worth it! 💁‍♀️ When I need an extra push I wear a necklace from my “Open” collection so I have a physical reminder to step outside of my comfort zone. I just need a reminder sometimes. 💡 I was thinking you may have needed this reminder today too! Am I right? 😘 Cheers to getting uncomfortable! Cheers to being Open! #stayopen
