It’s one thing to hold yourself accountable to others and keep a high standard. It’s also extra important to hold yourself accountable to “yourself” regarding, goals, lists, items, and accomplishments. I’m on my own ass daily like that boss who gets on your damn nerves. I constantly get on my own case. I pester and push myself to work harder, more efficiently and better. I am constantly and consistently “self-managing” to improve. Today’s workout had me pouring down sweat. I did this for two rounds total and ended at almost 17 minutes. I used 10 lb dumbbells. Trying to get that back strength right again. Gimme a few weeks. 💪🏾❤️🙏🏾 Man it’s crazy how quick you can lose it if you’re not consistent. Take it from me!!! It’s only been a couple of weeks with grinding and focusing on work, and this weight felt like a struggle!!! Didn’t help that my hands were feeling like they were being cut by a cheese grader. 😒😒😒 come back calluses!!! I gotta let go of some things to rebuild, but I can’t do without strawberries though!!! . Throwback to 4-5 months ago, when I tried Clap pushups first time in my life. Pushups with front Clap are not difficult but claps behind the waiste are very difficult. So I started practicing for clap pushups 3-4 months ago and now I have good skills to complete these pushups easily. I will post the latest video soon. Here's some clips from Back & Legs Day from the Leg portion. This was all after the Back session. Did some Goblet Squats 4 x10. I like holding the dumbbell in the middle instead of the edge like most do. Only thing I would change from this particular session is I would've held the Dumbbell a lil higher up my chest. But I like this way of hand positioning better on the wrist & I believe it works a lot more muscles than the more common way of doing it. But that's just my opinion. Also did some Leg Press 1 lighter warm-up set then 3 x12 with 7 wheels a side. Also included some clips of some Leg Extensions & some Leg Curls 3 x15 a piece. Kind of a Full Body session here. Been experimenting & switching up my routines lately to spice things up & to just explore. ~ For a few years now, I have only been able to bring my head down to the ground when I do the straddle splits stretch — but after a while, Master Ipacs ( @chrisipacs ) kept telling me that bringing your head down isn’t the best or correct way, because it causes you to hunch/curve your back. ❌ In fact, he kept encouraging me to focus on bringing my whole chest down down to the ground instead. ✔️ For the first few times, I couldn’t really tell if I was doing the stretch right... and it made me feel more discouraged — that it would be impossible for me to get this stretch anytime soon. 😔 And honestly, the more I kept thinking that way, the more I ‘cheated’ myself, and just continued to do the “easier” way (which was just bringing my head to the ground). 👎🏾 But last night, after I came home from taekwondo practice, I stretched some more, and decided to try and bring my chest down somehow in this stretch — I kept thinking about all the tips Mr. Ipacs gave me... and it FINALLY clicked to me! ✨ For this stretch, I sat down with my legs spread out as far wide as I could (while keeping my back as straight as possible) — and as I leaned forward, I tried keeping my head & eyes straight forward, and pushed my hips out forward. I could DEFINITELY feel the difference in this stretch — and I couldn’t believe how much I felt my hip flexors opening up! 💯 I held this stretch for a whole minute — and with every deep breath & passing second, I also felt my stomach inching closer & closer to the ground. 🔝 Now that I know what I’m supposed to do and how it should properly feel, I feel more confident & motivated than ever to keep practicing this stretch every day, so that I WILL finally be able to bring my whole body down flat to the ground (instead of just my head)... like a pancake! 🥞 Stay tune for that day to come! 🔥 ~ • • • • • #octavia #athlete #yogi #martialartist #taekwondo #tkd #training #stretching #flexibility #yoga #ashtanga #asana #stretch #splits #straddlesplits #pancakestretch #upavistakonasana #samakonasana #progress #martialarts #martialartsgirls #taekwondolife #yogapractice #yogajourney #namaste #inspiration #motivation #pushyourself #nevergiveup #2018

Between this new diet and switching up my workout routine, this morning while I was running in place I pushed myself and was able to go into a FULL Sprint!😁. Before this photo was taken “18/9/2012” i had a surgery a month ago, a Knee surgery. I can still feel how cold the water was at that moment, and how i didn’t feel my knee, despite the cold i and the others were able to get to the very end, the hardest you work, the more luck you seem to have. keep going and everything would be just fine.
