#latergram (2 meals late) of what I had for lunch. I am Chinese but my taste palate is quite international, and I always prefer at least some raw or cold food at lunch and I make sure to try out most salad place around my office. Even though it is a chain, the quality of different @larotisserie varies a lot. This one in wanchai is ok, but i’s still like the sheung wan one the best. It would be great if they can add some salt to their soup. Introducing my new go-to breakfast- - - Quinoa . Yep. You read that right. Quinoa (pronounced keen-wah). If you’re looking for something new to have for breakfast you have to try it! . Quinoa is a grain/seed that has a delicious nutty flavor. It is cooked similar to steel cut oats. . This morning I’m having it with mashed banana, cinnamon, and macadamia nuts (I’ll show you how I make it in my stories), but other days I eat it topped with veggie scrambled eggs 🥚 🥦 and a sprinkling of cheese. Filet Dinner at home please! 🥩🍽👩🏻‍🍳Think you need a fancy restaurant for a nice steak dinner?...think again! This dinner was ready in under 30 minutes and was given two thumbs up 👍🏼👍🏼 it’s impressive, it’s quick, it’s easy and delicious - give it a try and treat yourself or that someone special to a home cooked steak dinner! (bonus: it’s healthy too! So it’s a win win!) . . . Preheat your oven to 400 F // let your steaks come to room temperature then salt liberally on each side // heat a nonstick pan or cast iron skillet over medium high heat and add 1 TB undated butter and a drizzle of light olive oil to coat the pan - add 1 whole clove of garlic and 1 full sprig of rosemary until butter is frothy // add steaks searing on each side and spooning the flavored butter over top while the other side browns // once seared on each side transfer steaks to lined baking sheet and let them finish cooking in oven for 8-10 minutes until desired doneness (10 min for medium on these fillets that were about 1.5” thick) // in same pan thatvtou seared the steaks in - add 2 pints of sliced mushrooms (I used baby bella and cremini) and another drizzle of olive oil on top - salt - stir and let them cook // eighth when they are about done - add a bit of balsamic vinegar bring the heat up and let it reduce // add mushrooms to the pan the steak is on and let rest // sauté spinach and serve with quinoa, rice, potatoes or whatever your preference is // slice steak and add mushrooms and the sauce from the mushrooms on top and enjoy!// . . . #apinchofsomething #steakdinner #filet #mushrooms #spinach #quinoa #asparagus #dinnerathome #homechef #healthymeals #gains #twothumbsup #chefcrista #glutenfree

November is always a really tough month for me, and I always find my mental health goes into overdrive, which then upsets the damage to my frontal lobe, which then upsets my fibro and M.E. This year I was determined to be more focused on the good things in my life, and to make a mindful effort in my eating habits.
