I’ve been digging this salad recently: organic greens, grassfed taco meat, @kitehillfoods cheese, lactofermented salsa from my garden last summer, @therealcoconut chips on the side and topped off with @primalkitchenfoods ranch. Oh, and avocado of course 🥑❤️. When I make taco meat, I cook at least 3-4 pounds at a time so that we can have ready to go protein for simple meals like this. Homemade Soup is my Forte. I mean, at least I can't burn it. 🤣 • Here's an quick & easy Real Food Based Tomato Soup 🍅 recipe I just whipped up that's free from junk. I hope you love it! • • What you'll need: • 1 can of Organic Diced tomatoes or 5 fresh organic tomatoes diced. (I use the organic yellow label can from Trader Joe's in a pinch but I prefer home grown or farm stand tomatoes which taste so much better!) • 3 cloves of organic garlic • 1 organic yellow onion, diced • 3 tablespoons of homemade or store-bought ghee (1 for sautéing and 2 for addition at the end) • 2 stalks of organic celery, chopped • 3-4 cups of organic chicken stock or home made bone broth • 2 tbsp homemade fermented ketchup (or organic store bought - sweetened with dates preferably- sugar is the devil. We love this brand @tessemaes ) • 1 tablespoon of any organic season salt (I used 21 Seasoning Salute from @traderjoes). • 1 tube of organic tomato paste ( I used Trader Joe's or Sprouts Brand) • 1 TBSP of @redmondrealsalt • Pepper to taste • What to do: • In a Dutch oven, on the stove top; Sauté onions, celery, garlic and spices in ghee until transparent. Then add 1 can of tomatoes, 1 tube of tomato paste, chicken stock, ketchup and remaining ingredients (except remaining ghee). Bring to a simmer for 6 min until tomatoes are hot. Turn off heat, add remaining ghee and stir. • After soup has cooled just a little bit; use an immersion blender to purée completely. Add salt or pepper to your liking. JOHN HARDY JEWELRY. We went to visit John Hardy’s jewelry and it was just such a beautiful experience to witness. We took a tour in the workshop and was amazed (again) by the craftsmanship and art of its people. Everybody was smiley, lovely and so talented working on the details of these unique art pieces. Just amazing to see how they hand make all the process and how carefully each piece is made. After the jewelry tour and also admiring the architecture & gardens surrounding us we had a savory outdoor lunch wrapping a pretty much perfect day! Broke my fast at 24:45 with a bacon, mushroom, and American cheese omelette with sausage patties. When I got home I still felt ravenous (now I realize I needed more fat) so I ate the last of my Halo Top Blueberry Crumble, an Oh Yeah One bar, and a tablespoon of peanut butter. Can I just pay myself on the back and toot my own horn for a moment?!?!?!📣📣📣📣 💥I have NOT missed 1 workout since JANUARY 1st💥 I can’t take all the credit for it. I was introduced to an amazing group of people who 💜cheer each other on 💜support each other 💜motivate one another 💜push one another 💜offer advice 💜help with meal planning ideas 💜become friends even though some of us have not met in person. I want to pass this on to as many people as possible. It really is life changing. I thought that I needed to step foot in a gym and cut calories to lose weight. Broccoli crusted pizza- first time making it and eating it and I was surprised at how good it was and filling! ———————————————————— Crust: Chop broccoli in food processor and then squeeze out water. Add an egg, mix of mozzarella and Parm shredded cheese and a tablespoon of pesto then shape into crust. Bake for 20 mins. Add sauce, and toppings of choice! FYI: If you’re in need of a super quick meal, toss some shrimp, roasted veg, + a yummy sauce together and I PROMISE it’ll be slap-yo-mama-good. 🔥🙌 . WHAT WENT DOWN: • large shrimp, peeled and deveined • leftover roasted cauli (seasoned with smoked paprika, pink salt, + black pepper) + mini bell peppers (unseasoned), both roasted at 375 for 25-ish kin • butternut squash noodles • organic grape tomatoes • @saffronroadfood lemongrass basil simmer sauce (love love love these clean sauces - they add SO much flavor! 🙌) . In a pan sprayed with @chosenfoods avocado oil, sauté shrimp until just done. Remove from pan; add butternut squash + tomatoes. Cook 2-3 min or until slightly tender. Add cauliflower, bell peppers, sauce, + shrimp; toss to combine. Cook another 1-2 min or until warmed through. 👌 . Sleep tight, peeps! 💤

The protein bar debate..and what's the deal on Quest bars, are they healthy? (Quick answer: NO, read below to find out why) I’ve received a number of questions on which protein bars I’d recommend, my favorite is the Primal Kitchen Coconut Cashew Bar, nearly same calories as a Quest bar but FAR more nutritious, made with cashews and pumpkin seeds for healthy fats, only 3 grams of sugar and 7,800mg of collagen (all about that glowing skin, strong hair and gut health) . Woohoo!• • Quest bars, which many people think are healthy options, especially post-work out. Which makes sense, many have 20 grams of fiber (which is a little alarming for how small the bars are), 20 grams of protein and zero sugar. BUT Quest bars are really not more than an empty 200 calories with absolutely no nutritional value aside from the protein from a milk protein isolate. I don’t do dairy, and if I was going to do dairy it wouldn’t be a conventional dairy protein - making sure it’s from a high quality grass-fed source is important. But the number 1 reason I recommend clients to stay away from Quest bars is they have SUCRALOSE - which is just a different word for aspartame, the artificial chemical sweetener that has been linked to cancer in rats. I’ll pass!

I think I can speak on behalf of pretty much everybody when I say that eating cookie dough is one of my all-time favorite childhood past-times. 🤤 🍪 I remember always being told as a kid not to eat it because of the undercooked eggs, or flour. Now that I’m an adult (still weird to think that) I can make my own cookie dough that’s safe to eat by the handfuls...wait I mean, what? 😂 . Plus they’re gluten-free and refined sugar-free. What’s not to love? . Chocolate covered cookie dough bars - 4 tbs softened @fourthandheart ghee (can use coconut oil if dairy-free) - 1 cup @bobsredmill almond flour - 1/2 cup coconut sugar - 1 tbs vanilla extract - 1 tbs pink salt - dark chocolate chips . Combined everything and then matted down on parchment paper-lined brownie pan. Stuck in the freezer for a while to allow it to harden. I then combined more dark chocolate chips and a little bit of coconut oil and microwaved until melted, about 45 seconds. I drizzled that on top of the cookie dough bars, covering completely and stuck them back in the freezer for the chocolate to harden up. . It irks me when people say they don’t have time to cook healthy meals. If your health is a priority, you will make time. And meals like this come in clutch on weeknights so you have no excuse! Chicken breast cooked in salsa verde (cooked mine in the Instant Pot but you could use a crockpot or stove) and throw it on a salad/lettuce wraps or cauliflower rice for a bowl. Voila!
