So I’ve had a lovely day with the bestie; afternoon tea followed by a spa day. So nice to have a relaxing swim, sauna and to just chill with a mag. Sometimes all you need is a break and time with the best people 💞 Afterwards, I did the last day of the 4 Week Body Blitz. I condensed this week down and didn’t do six days of exercise but I did have a couple of days where I did two circuits. So I’ve completed every workout. Today I did a normal circuit from the book. And for my final circuit, I did a mix of some of the moves from this programme. Worked up a sweat which I needed. Will give a proper review of this programme tomorrow. Needed the extra rest days this week. Looking forward to being back on plan tomorrow with diet and being back to my own workouts! It made exercise so boring following this programme! 🙄

Tried some new exercises today with a couple of fun toys from @onnit. Haven’t been doing resistance training consistently (outside of jiu jitsu) for 3 years now. I promise to be past the arm/back/#theraband marriage obsession after this. I Promise. But it made sense to take all those principles from the other posts into a #flow moving from #backextension (which the #resistancebands in the clx form helps with greatly) to #pushups to #plank variations (involving thoracic movement) with one arm. Been crushing it all Summer with trying a bunch of new things that are outside my normal athletic abilities and hitting all my goals. Was thinking about social media and how the fitness industry places so much emphasis on just looking good (which really is a “fragile” form of motivation). Aún es común ver personas que se esfuerzan muchísimo en sus rutinas de abdominales, no con el fin de fortalecerlos, sino que pensando en reducir esa “capa de grasa” que los recubre. . . 🤔¿Qué dice la ciencia respecto a esta conducta? . . ✔️Conclusión rápida: Hacer abdominales no reduce la grasa regional dirigidamente. Si queremos disminuir la 🐽 grasa abdominal, debiésemos poner el foco en la disminuir la grasa total que mantenemos. Esto lo conseguiremos con un buen trabajo nutricional🥗 y plan de ejercicios.🤸‍♂️ . . 👉 Ramin Kordi y colaboradores (2014) realizaron un estudio 📊en el que 40 personas obesas fueron divididas en dos grupo. Un grupo realizó dieta hipocalórica mientras que el otro realizó la misma dieta asociada a una rutina de abdominales.
