Swap lanes then I’m out of state. I’m out of body never feeling out of place.

The weather outside is frightful. Our open house is delightful. I anchored the sign with a discarded bumper. Poetry is hard. We're better at real estate than rhyming. Come see us. 7454 W. #readingblackout Day 24: Author and poet Eloise Greenfield won the 2018 Coretta Scott King-Virginia Hamilton Lifetime Achievement Award. WATER, WATER (1999) is a rhyming story that describes all of the places (inside and out) and ways a young boy encounters water. Readers see the boy going about his daily life with his parents, joyfully connecting to water in ways big and small. WATER, WATER is for kids 18 months and older, and provides a great base for talking to our own small ones about where in our lives we see and interact with water. They’ll see that some of their experiences match the boy’s in the book while others are different. Once they know the story they can also complete the rhymes. A sweet story for littles—Mine ask for it a bunch (We had to sit on the deck and read it twice right after taking this picture)💦 Illustrated by #janspiveygilchrist and published by @harperchildrens 💧 About #eloisegreenfield—From the American Library Association: "Eloise Greenfield is a trailblazer whose extraordinary books of poetry and prose have influenced many and continue to resonate with children today. Her rich body of work inspires and enriches readers," said Award Committee Chair Deborah D. Taylor. Eloise Greenfield was born in Parmele, North Carolina, and currently resides in Washington D.C. Early in life, she discovered a love of reading and writing and realized there were few books that showed the fullness of African American life. She published her first book in 1972 and went on to write and publish more than 40 books. From "Honey, I Love" to "The Great Migration," this multiple award-winning author has captivated audiences through the years. The Coretta Scott King-Virginia Hamilton Award for Lifetime Achievement is named in memory of beloved children’s author Virginia Hamilton. The annual award is presented in even years to an African American author, illustrator or author/illustrator for a body of his or her published books for children and/or young adults, and who has made a significant and lasting literary contribution.
