💥BIG TRAPS NOW💥 So how do you build big traps? - It's not by doing countless reps of shrugs and lifting like a bro. - It's following a consistent plan while training effectively and giving your body the resources to build big traps. - Here are the four main things you need to do start building big traps now. - SOLID PLAN You need to have a solid plan, which means either running a full body or upper/lower body training split. A bro split will hit the traps only once a week, which is very ineffective. A full body or upper/lower body split will allow you to hit each muscle group two to three times a week, which is optimal for muscle growth! - MODERATE SURPLUS You need to be eating in a moderate surplus. This means consuming 200 to 300 calories over your maintenance caloric intake. This will give your body the resources it needs to build your traps. Without a caloric surplus you're not going to be able to build your traps very effectively. - SHRUGS, ROWS, AND DEADLIFTS If you want to build your traps you're going to be doing a lot more exercises than just shrugs. Do shrugs target the traps? Absolutely, but we need to be doing a variety of exercise to hit all parts of the traps in order to grow them well. Perform shrugs, rows, and deadlifts during your workouts to target the traps effectively, ensuring maximal gains! - TRAIN TRAPS 2-3xWEEK Make sure you are hitting your traps 2-3 times per week during your workouts. If you are running a full body split, make sure to have the three exercises listed above included in all three workouts. If you are running an upper/lower split, hit the exercises above on your upper day 2 times per week and deadlifts on your lower days. - Need some more help?
