Distractions are practiced〰️ One of my biggest struggles is feeling like my mind is constantly swirling with thoughts🌀always running ahead or drifting to my to-do list, future worries, or even my past. 🗓 —— what I’m finally realizing is that this can be AVOIDED and CONTROLLED. It is merely a H A B I T your mind created overtime. 🔁 —— Your brain can actually only focus on ONE thing at a time. 🧠 So when we allow our thoughts to zigzag and lose concentration we form a habit of letting this happen over and over, and this is why you can feel👇🏼 -drained -overwhelmed -too busy -unproductive ➖start with small steps, stay AWARE of yourself throughout the day and realize when and why you slip out of focus. Catch yourself and re-form a NEW habit of staying present✨ ☀️my new morning routine has really helped me start doing this! 🍃 When we realize our victim mentality is just the way that we’re thinking and seeing ourselves and the world, then we are able to take responsibility for ourselves and change the root cause of this - our beliefs. . A belief is simply a thought that you’ve thought enough times that it became automatic. It became your main way of thinking and feeling and seeing the world. . But you can change this at any time. Start observing your thoughts and beliefs and become aware of a belief that is not serving you, meaning it makes you feel bad/anxious/less than/not good enough/alone/helpless/victimized. . Then DECIDE to change your belief. CHOOSE to not think that way anymore. You do this by deciding on a new belief and repeating that new belief every single day, as often throughout the day as possible, until it becomes automatic and natural. . Say your new belief out loud. Focus on the good feelings that this new belief invokes. Feel it inside your body. Take actions that support your new belief. Repetition of the thought, feeling, and action is what will change your belief at the core. . And how do you know that you’ve really changed a belief? Your behavior will be different. Something that triggered you before, will not even bother you or you won’t even notice it. Also, you will be taking actions in your life that prior you would not have felt confident enough to do. . Remember a belief is just a belief because that’s what you were taught as a child, or that’s what you felt you experienced. But you can change your experience at any time, by changing your perspective. . Whatever it is that you feel makes you a victim, you can find someone who experienced the same exact thing but who is now happy and successful. If they overcame it, you can too! 🌿
