#flashbackfriday Melbourne (half) marathon number 2 in 2016. I'm going to miss running in Melbourne this year, as I am headed to Queenstown in November to run the half marathon. I've been on a run focused programme for the last 5 weeks (doesn't feel like 5 weeks) and although some days feel like a struggle, I've been consistent. Woke up this morning feeling decidedly sub par but headed out for the Friday run squad and was rewarded with a 2 minute PB on the same course we ran last month. 5pm tomorrow starts my vacation for a week on the lake. The anticipation is killing me! Haha But it doesn’t mean I won’t have my meal prep! Turkey meatballs for the win! 🦃 2 lbs ground turkey, 1 cup oatmeal flour, 1/4 cup of carrots chopped fine 🥕1 radish copped fine, & four tiny sautéed home grown onions haha (probably equaled 1/2 a small onion). I added some everything bagel seasoning & Italian seasoning. Normally I would also put garlic & more spices, but some people at camp can’t eat that. Makes about 33, but I made them small. As I sit here throwing it back to last April!! I sit here and reflect, and thank God for what he has taught me along my journey!! Have you ever felt like you had no identity, felt like you were totally lost, and felt like you may not have a purpose in life I sit and reflect on how you have to fight for your dreams, your desires, your purpose, and passions See you guys I was a person that literally lived her life through everyone elses eyes But I realized on this journey, through people speaking into my life that I mattered I mattered, I was important, and that little ole me, the self conscious, person that I could make a difference in others life even if it was a small part So the moral of the story is, is that you matter, that you are important, and that you are enough Run your race, fight your fight, and never give up I am here for you if you need anything❤❤ Love that I get to choose wellness and share it with those I love

Anything that you've ever wanted to accomplish, you've already got the resources inside of you. That doesn't mean you shouldn't go out and learn and model the success of others. But the things you need are already within your core, you just have to ask the right questions. The greatest communicators are the ones who didn't necessarily teach us, but rather they gave us questions that empowered us. State management is the number one skill required to break through mental plateaus and take action. You have to condition yourself daily & move towards larger levels of contribution, joy, and passion instead of things that pull you down towards frustration, anger and fear. There's no difference between you and your ultimate role model of success except that they have learned to manage their state effectively and control their mental focus.
