💥ACTIVATE YOUR UPPER BODY💥- - ⭐️The upright row has always been an exercise that I am a fan of. It does a great job of hitting the SHOULDERS & TRAPS as the prime movers and the RHOMBOIDS & TERES MINOR as synergists.- - 🧠What is this crap your talking.. 1️⃣Prime Mover-muscle that acts DIRECTLY to bring about a desired movement. 2️⃣Synergist- a muscle that ACTS TOGETHER with another muscle to produce the movement.- - ✊🏼When we train, we are looking to focus on MOVEMENTS. When we focus on MOVEMENTS, our MUSCLES will be taken care of.- - 🎤I specifically use the upright row with a band to activate my upper body prior to an upper body session. It does a really nice job of priming my upper body for upcoming compound (multi-joint)movements.- - 1️⃣Grab a band and get into a nice base position: slightly wider than shoulder width,driving into the ground with the balls of your feet to activate the glutes, tight core, tall posture with a neutral spine, look forward with a neutral neck and an OPEN posture. 2️⃣Find your position, and if you are more comfortable with a slight knee bend or a straight leg; this is personal preference. As you can see, I shifted a couple of times. 3️⃣Now, with the band, twist it creating almost a “bow-tie” in the band. 4️⃣Im using a super narrow grip here; my hands are basically touching. 5️⃣Row up bringing your elbows higher than your ears. 6️⃣Keep your core tight the entire time.- -
