This morning I had to be ridiculously early at work, so last night I enjoyed an interesting English breakfast. Everything I've showed you up to date is my own. Horrible picture quality in low lighting tonight but I wanted to share how nice it was that my parents made an effort to support my Keto lifestyle during a birthday celebration tonight for my Dad. Keto deviled eggs and zero carb pepperoni sticks for hors d'oeuvres, shrimp cocktail ( without with the sauce for me) as a salad course, and I barbecued steaks and grilled peppers and mushrooms for a main course. They of course had birthday cake from Dairy Queen but I made myself a fat bomb peanut butter cream cheese mousse which was the first of anything sweet I had since starting Keto on the 4th of September. I didn't find it all that exciting actually, it was very tasty but I really have no urgent desire to have another sweet soon anytime. First time having home cook food after starting work. Marinade the food at 5.30am and the hub set the rice cooker to complete the cooking by 6.45pm so that we will have food *almost* ready to eat when we reached home. 🥦 Broccoli, Beans, & Quinoa ⏲ Under 15 mins | Serves 2 I was in need of a quick dinner tonight & so I made one of my 4 ingredient meals. It’s so simple & easy but still muy tasty 😋 Also, these 4 ingredients are packed with rich nutrients, vitamins, & lotsaaa protein 💪🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What’s in my bowl🥣 ▫️1/4 cup Tricolor Quinoa ▫️1/2 cup Vegetable Broth ▫️1/2 head Broccoli ▫️1/2 can (15oz) Black Beans ▫️Seasonings: chili powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, ginger powder ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In a medium pot, cook the quinoa in the vegetable broth until all liquid is absorbed. In a separate pot, fill with water & add in broccoli florets. Let the broccoli cook for roughly 10 mins. Lastly, heat up the black beans in a bowl. Serve everything in a bowl & add in seasonings. I topped mine with some cilantro & hemp seeds.

🔸🔸Brussels Sprout Sauté🔸🔸 I know it doesn’t really feel like fall in SWFL, but @traderjoes definitely wants you to know it’s here! 🍁🍂It took everything in me not to buy all things #pumpkin 🎃 What I did stock up on was their peeled and cubed butternut squash (@drjohnmorton) and shaved Brussels sprouts to make this yummy #fallinspired side dish. What makes it so good? It starts with #bacon and ends with #balsamic 😍 In a 12” sauté pan add: 🔸4-5 pieces chopped bacon, cook until fat renders 3-5 minutes. 🔸1-2 diced carrots 🔸1 bag #traderjoes butternut squash, cook about 5-7 minutes 🔸1 bag traderjoes Shaved Brussels Sprouts 🔸season w/ S&P, sautéed until sprouts start to brown and squash is tender. 🔸Finish with a 1/4 c. Simply delicious! Who doesn’t love an easy and yummy #recipe ? This couldn’t have been simpler. All you need is a salmon filet, some salsa (the Harissa Salsa from @traderjoes is #amazeballs ), a baking sheet, and an oven. Here’s what I did: 🔴preheat oven to 450• 🔴rinse and pat dry salmon filet 🔴place salmon skin-side down on a piece of tin foil laid atop a baking sheet 🔴make a little ‘boat’ out of the tin foil around the salmon so the sauce doesn’t spread where you don’t want it to 🔴top salmon with salsa/sauce/whatever you want to flavor the fish 🔴seal foil around the salmon 🔴bake for 15 min (this was a large filet- adjust accordingly) 🔴let sit for 5-10min after you take it out before unwrapping 🔴enjoy!! #amazefitness #amazewellness #amazerecipe #homemadefood #simplemeals #eatclean #cleaneats #yumyum
