. 🏃: @the_running_cuy . . . . . . ___________________ #geocusco #peru #perú #cuzco #cuscoperu #southamerica #sudamerica #forest #trees #trailrunning #run #correr #outdoors #landscape #nature #travelphoto #travel #viajar #viagem #explore #lima

@plazaexpeditions @heroe593 Música/audio @ronschneidert the champ 🙌🏽👌🏽🙌🏽 #ballenasjorobadas #salango #manabi #ecuador #machalilla #parquenacional #vidamarina #dji #drone593 #drone #allyouneedisecuador #southamerica #natgeo #nature #marine #oceano #humpbackwhale #ballena #exploralavida #plazaexpeditions #heroe593

For me, Argentina means Tango, Tango means Argentina. So watching tango at Plaza Dorrego in the historic and oldest neighborhood, San Telmo in Buenos Aires, the capital city of Argentina, evoked a special emotion. ** Tango is about pauses, stares, drama, rhythm, fast synchronized moves, lifts, sharp and straight angles, never-ending tension, release, holdback , give in...this emotional competition without knowing which partner is leading. Every move is filled with passion that mesmerizes you till the last step. ** Tango is a partner dance which originated in the 1880s along the River Plate (Río de Plata), the natural border between Argentina and Uruguay. It was born in the impoverished port areas of these countries, where natives mixed with slave and European immigrant populations. The tango is the result of a combination of the German Waltz, Czech Polka, Polish Mazurka, and Bohemian Schottische with the Spanish-Cuban Habanera, African Candombe, and Argentinian Milonga. The tango was frequently practiced in the brothels and bars of ports, where business owners employed bands to entertain their patrons with music. ** In Argentina, the word Tango seems to have first been used in the 1890s. In 1902 the Teatro Opera started to include tango in their balls. Initially tango was just one of the many available local dances, but it soon became popular throughout society, as theatres and street barrel organs spread it from the suburbs to the working-class slums, which were packed with hundreds of thousands of European immigrants. The development of Tango had influences from the cultures of several peoples that came together in these melting pots of ethnicities. For this reason Tango is often referred to as the music of the immigrants to Argentina. ** In 1917, folk singer Carlos Gardel recorded his first tango song Mi Noche Triste, forever associating tango with the feeling of tragic love as revealed in the lyric. ** It has found its way onto the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2009.
