🔥 S T R O N G M A N | 250KG x 2 • • Ian ( @namstrengthculture ) came in at the beginning of June with a hamstring strain which had been hindering him from even being able to hip hinge without pain. This had been a reoccuring injury for several months prior • • Now it's November and he has come so far! Initially starting with soft tissue release around the area of scarring and surrounding hip structures, paired with specific rehab exercises to begin strengthening the hamstring and mobilising his hip • • We worked on single leg stability, proprioception and strengthening as he progressed and began sumo deadlifting. He eventually became pain free and started conventional deadlifting, steadily rebuilding the load as he went • • Ian is a prime example of someone who respects the process of recovery and rehabilitation. He has done all his rehab and continued to improve in our hands on sessions. He is now in a place of pain free movement under loads he was lifting pre injury! 👏🏽 • • Thank you for trusting Active Relief HK and committing to your programme. 🔥💥 Banded rotations are a great way to target strength in external or internal rotation. I use these once to twice per week to build/maintain strength targeting a particular group of muscles around the shoulder. I will vary the reps, sets & time under tension regularly to avoid plateauing. Strength at the shoulder in rotation is particularly important, as weakness here can lead to injury. 🔥💥
