It is recommended you train heavy always to ensure stimulus. Muscle gain will require the most volume out of the 3. This means the most reps and sets. 25-34 sets will be a good range per workout.✅ - Strength Gain: Nutrition for strength gain is a recommended small caloric surplus. It is recommended you train heavy always to ensure stimulus. Strength gain will require moderate volume but high intensity. This simply means moderate reps and sets but the heaviest loads out of the 3. 15-24 sets will be a good range per workout.✅ - Fat Loss: Nutrition for fat loss is a required small caloric deficit. It is recommended you train heavy always to retain existing muscle and strength. Fat Loss will require less volume then your muscle gain phase although try to do as much as you did before. If you were training 5-4 times a week you may only be able to train 3 due to reduced energy and increased fatigue. There are going to be days where you look in the mirror and you flex like Dwayne Johnson. Remember there are always highs and lows in any journey.👌🏻 ㅤ Your Mind: There are going to be days where you doubt yourself. Days where you question yourself and if you can really succeed. You are going to have doubt, fear, anger, anxiety, frustration, depression and moodiness. You need to remember why you started, you need to use your pain to train harder. 🐺🐺🐺 ㅤ ㅤ Society: There may be times people laugh at you for being skinny. They might be vocal about you never being able to build muscle. There may be times your friends question and laugh at what you’re doing. When others think you are weird for training and eating well. Society may even judge you for what you’re doing. As long as you believe in it do it and show yourself you can.🐺🐺🐺 ㅤ Eating More: There may be days where eating will be hard. When eating enough calories or macros will be hard. But it will all be worth it. Always prepare your meals and spend time you have to make sure everything is efficient in the kitchen.👌🏻 ㅤ Remember confidence is earned. It might take time to develop confidence in the gym. It takes time to build confidence in yourself. It takes time to build confidence in your body. SIMPLEST WAY TO GET STRONG by @jmaxfitness - If you want to get strong, here's the winning formula: - Low variety of exercises. Don't use all these different exercises to "confuse your muscles". Stick with a few big compound exercises for each movement: squat, hinge, pull, and push. - Practice makes perfect. Want to get strong fast? Lift every day. Work up to a heavy set. If you like crap, stop here. If you feel good, keep going and work your way up to a max or PR. If you still feel awesome, do a few backoff sets. - Rule of 10. I got this one from Dan John. Each workout should have approximately 10 total reps (not including warmups). So this could be as simple as 5 sets of 2, 2 sets of 5, 3 sets of 3, 5-3-2, or 6 sets of 1 (exception to the rule). - Progressive overload. At least once per week, try to beat your previous personal best. The goal is to get stronger, and the only way to do that is to attempt to hit PR's occasionally. If you're a beginner, you should try to hit PR's every workout. If you're an intermediate, you should try to add 5-10lbs to each big lift per month. If you're advanced, take gains when you can get 'em. It takes time and consistency. Identify it, address it, and good things will start happening.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ However, lifestyle bottlenecks are tricky to spot if they’re only visible “down the line” in terms of food choices or behavior.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For example, stress or anxiety can leading to poor sleep, that poor sleep can lead to evening cravings for sweets, and those sweets can lead (obviously) to weight gain.
